I’ve just gotten one of these at Costco! I’ve used two or three times and I’m thrilled to bits. Completely intuitive. I didn’t read an instruction. I downloaded the app and started cooking. It is because I am so pleased that I will forgive Joelle for resting those steaks on a board rather than on a plate where the accumulated juices could’ve subsequently been added to the sauce. Some people take this sort of offense very seriously (I’m looking at you chef John) fortunately, I’m not one of those people!
Does this work with an Instant Pot or other pressure cookers that use heat and pressure to cook the food? At $100, I definitely would want to make sure before buying it.
I wish there was just a “free cook” mode that supplies temperature and how long the cook has been going. I don’t need you guys to tell me how to cook. Suppose I can cook better than the chef that provided the criteria for your cook algorithms? Should i listen to him via the app or instead opt to listen to my internal instincts and the traditions my mother passed down? New innovative tech should SUPPLEMENT human skillsets, not REPLACE them. Proposed fix: Add a “free cooking” mode for monitoring only (probe temp, ambient temp, time since cook started).

That's the problem with new tech, if the App doesn't work or is no longer supported in a few years, all these products will become door stoppers. Anyway, the good news is I had my wife set it up with her phone and then it allowed me to log in. I dont think their App liked my Fold 4 form factor...

This thing is crap.. will not pair, firmware update done/not done.. can not get past initial menu, on the way tp return counter
