I rode from 1969 until 2019 when I sold my last bike and took care of my wife in her last years (don't smoke). I am contemplating buying one of these to ride some more since I am not dead yet. I never owned a Harley and never cared.
Excellent and very timely video! I'm currently looking at a few 2019's and hope to purchase one of them in the next few weeks. I currently ride a BMW R1250GS and am never really comfortable riding it because of the weight and power. The weight goes away once you are moving but it is a beast to move around. So many reasons to buy the Can Am.
GrumpY SpYder RYder I just subscribed to Your channel. Love the channel name, and that You spelled rYder correctlY 😅. StaY Alert. rYde safe in a fun waY. Keep on SpYdering. 🕷️🕸️😎🇺🇲.
Left ACL surgery x2 + left meniscus tear x2 + trashed right shoulder = soon to be Spyder rider!! Been looking at them for couple years! Bout to pull trigger on a Spyder F3s!! 🤞🤞🤞
Yup, not a GW, turn signals don't turn off, unless of course you make a turn. Added all the fender leds to my RTL22 and it does not help, except at night!.
I purchased a pedal commander. on my 2021 RT LIMITED SPIDER. You want to go fast i set it at city 1 gave it gas i Swear The front Tires came up. It adjusted You're throttle to a hair pin touch . Normally, you gotta give it a lot of throttle To move Well, Once you put this on? You're flying. And that's the low setting. You still have 2 more settings and 3 more speeds I know you take the bike off. Econo. And you've got the other speed which is faster. It's pedal commander. Has econo .which is recommended on freeway.
Sounds like this vehicle you reviewed is comfortable for long rides, driver friendly where you can't drop it, if it rains you are safer less stress . I just wish the manufacturer could have figured out where to place a spare tire maybe at the rear just under the trunk .
I just subscribed to Your channel. MainlY because the SpYder. But... The Maximus quote sealed the deal. 😅. StaY Alert. rYde safe in a fun waY. Keep on SpYdering. 🕷️🕸️😎🇺🇲.
Thank you! I have the KTM 1290 SDGT and a handicapped wife who can not really ride on it safely. We are thanking about making the switch to a Spyder. Have you had a passenger on the back? How is the engine heat control? My 1290 roast my legs in the heat.
I'm looking at getting one myself because of a back surgery I had a couple of years back. I just paid off my fat boy so I'm thinking one of these would be my best option.
Check out Coach Bob's channel guys, his wife is a paraplegic and they've taken their Spyder RT from Florida, where they live all the way to California and up to Maine and back. It's doable for sure, but of course, your situation may differ from theirs. They pull a freedom trailer with her wheel chair folded in it along with some other items they need. Pug in Coach Bob or CB3 when you search YT. God bless, Rob
Iam thinking about buying a 2023 can am spyder rt sea-to-sea, are there any real major problems with the spyder, mechanical and electrical problems.brakes,calipars..
I rode a 2-wheeler for 18 years and never felt comfortable doing maintenance myself. Now that I have my Spyder I found it to be rather easy and fun to do work on it, thanks to You Tube.
like your trike bicycle guys have to get on no shoulder roads because they are going somewhere and have to ride at times on nosh older roads to get there!
Great stuff. You seem to be enjoYing Your new rYde. All valid points. Gorgeous daY for SpYdering. StaY Alert. rYde safe in a fun waY. Keep on SpYdering. 🕷️🕸️😎🇺🇲.
Nope riding the Spyder feels like a snow mobile to me...I'm 68 ride a 2018+ Gold wing..I refuse to ride with a Spyder because they are rock slinging monsters..
@obwan7217 really... because whenever I'm behind bikes on my ryker I get rocks slung up at me. I don't have that problem behind other spyders or rykers. Sounds like you just want something to be angry about.
You sound like a bitter man. A spyder SHOULD feel like a sled bc they were modeled from a sled! If you were behind a spyder that was slinging rocks, you were too damn close, or they were spinning the rear tire on purpose.

Do it man!
Being in Minnesota, I will think about it over the Winter and decide then. Thanks for the encouragement. @@la_old_salt2241
Try out the Ryker, the RT and the F3 versions. You might like one, or all of them!
Go man go, don’t look back, she’s riding behind you !
@@B4USpendKs Thanks!
Great presentation…comfort…fun…safety..that says it all…
I don't ride to impress anyone. I ride for enjoyment. I ride two and three wheels! Thoroughly enjoying the Can Am Spyder!
Nice to see someone else back out riding and enjoying it. The Spyders and Rykers are so much fun in their own way. Stay safe out there and have fun.

Thanks!
@@backinthesaddle5097 you bet
I'm only 44 and I got a spyder just because it's unique ride. I still ride bikes but I prefer the spyder 90% of the time.
Really great video. I love riding my Spyder.

Good video and good list - I agree! I switched from a Tri-Glide to an RT Limited after a lot of thinking, and I am loving it

Loved your video, and thanks for your review . I don't have one yet . I had 2 bikes previously, and definitely, I will look into it
#1 When your at a stop light never having to put your feet down. While the guy on 2 wheels in front of you does.

Thanks for your views & comments. I’m going to get one. I’ve always loved them but the price is a bit high 😱

why is he wobbling around ???
Bicycles have the same rights on the road that CanAm Spyders do.
Certainly, but you miss his point. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should given traffic concerns.
@@la_old_salt2241many places don’t have bike lanes. Scenic back roads are an option.
..you are correct however there are more safer roads to ride bicycles on than others, its about good judgement and safety.
I've been riding 50 plus years, what i see bicycles do on the road...they must all have a death wish! No motorcycle rider would ever do what they do!

The Goldwings are top of the line! I wouldn’t mind having one myself.
Love my RT limited, road the tri-glide and the goldwing with champion trke kit the spyder beat them both hands down!

.... well you are entitled to to your opinion, ride safe!!
Why would you have gloves and coat on and its over 90.
I heard spiders are high maintenance
I do not consider myself any kind of mechanic but so far I"ve been able to maintain my Spyder on my own with the help of tutorials on You Tube.
