  • WOW! NEW TRAXXAS XRT - IN-DEPTH UNBOXING
We finally done it! We bite the bullet and brought a Traxxas XRT at an incredible deal from wheelspin models.
In this video we do a in-depth unboxing and take a look at this fantastic beast of a RC radio controlled car.
The Traxxas XRT™ fuses race-inspired design and engineering with X-Maxx® power and strength. The result is an all-new platform with sharp reflexes and unprecedented stability that is capable of exploiting the upper range of extreme 8s power and speed.
    BUILT FOR SPEED AND HANDLING
XRT was engineered with a focus on speed, handling, and performance. XRT’s low centre of gravity, ultra-wide stance and low-profile body deliver confidence and control as XRT accelerates across the wide-open spaces to an all-out speed of 60+MPH.
    PROVEN TOUGH ALL-METAL DRIVELINE
XRT performance and durability begins with its all-metal 8s driveline. Steel 4-gear differentials and steel driveshafts are joined by a high-strength extruded aluminium centre shaft. It’s a precision-engineered recipe that has been proven monster-truck tough in the X-Maxx.
    RACE-INSPIRED LOW-CG CHASSIS
XRT’s performance-focused chassis design is configured to lower the centre of gravity for superior handling and stability. The dual 6700 4s batteries and the steering servo are positioned to place the weight as low as possible in the chassis and provide protection for these critical components.
    TRAXXS GRAVIX™ RACE TIRES
XRT’s Gravix™ race tires are a revolutionary new hybrid design with densely packed biting edges and sipes. They deliver outstanding grip on hard-packed surfaces along with fast and quiet-running precision.

Good move!! Love my XRT. Heads up. Traxxas gearing is rubbish. Expect it to shatter or strip out. Use HR carbon steel or similar.

Your tyers will get softer when you warm them up on concrete!

@philpowell1162 I probably won't use it much on concrete, to be honest! More on fields and loose gravel tracks.
However, it seems too hook up decent! I'm happy with it so far!

@thercstore. I wouldn't use it on hard ground either but getting a little heat in them they should soften little bit ?!

@philpowell1162 yeah definitely will help. My big rock 3s tyres were rock hard, but after many runs on hard surfaces, they have become a lot softer.

@toddlauretteHabsforlife 1st running video out tomorrow. My apologies it's not all in one video as it makes the video long for some viewers.

You will find on the channel that if there's an in-depth unboxing video, the running video will follow. I normally get at least 3 videos out a week.

@kaepernickjae2029 how are you finding it after 2 years?
Other than gears centre prop, have you had to change anything else?

@@thercstore. Believe it or not but I'm still running the same optional speed gear that came with the rc with no problems.. The only thing I had to replace on mines was the steering servo which recently just started to get weak

@kaepernickjae2029 fair play! That's a good run, then to be fair.
My xmaxx has been like that! I recently bent the prop, but that's the only thing I've broken on it.
It comes down to how hard you bash and land!

Running out of RC's to buy i see LOL. The Xrt is okay, shit, I even considered purchasing a Traxxas due to the lack of good releases, and HATE Traxxas. My pockets are geeking for something new. As a former Xmaxx owner, i will tell you it's not more durable, keep putting more packs in that Xmaxx and you'll see everything excluding the chassis will fail. Those gears strip nonstop, put their heavy gears in it, oh they strip too. Add mod 1.5? The pinion will fly off. Trust me LOL, this issue is while the plastic chassis is very durable, it also flexes way too much, and if you add additional power the torque twisting will accelerate the issues i mentioned above. Keep bashing and you will see.

@spenn2007 Fair comment! They ain't going to be bulletproof. No RC is. But u guess it's all part of the fun!
I got a great deal on it. I couldn't say no 😂 it was during a Traxxas open day event.
There are no new releases that stand out, but I still have loads of exploring to do in the hobby.

Its funny because I was a second away from the ultimate. My LHS offer it up for 1400 usd and i just want something new. They have two them since last august. They claim they sold 12, I'm not so sure, the two there have so much dust I tested it with index finger. My thoughts on yours, DO NOT ADD PROLINE BADLANDS, add the traxxas belted and change the ESC if you want. That's it
