- Welcome to our exciting cycling video, where we embark on a scenic journey from Sunny Beach to Old Nessebar in the enchanting month of October. Join us as we pedal along the picturesque Bulgarian coastline, embracing the amazing beaches and coastline.
As retired individuals, we prove that age is not a barrier to loving life and enjoying new experiences, as we immerse ourselves in the pleasure of cycling together.
Follow us as we traverse the coastal route, passing by lush greenery and idyllic beaches.
As we approach Old Nessebar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we witness its ancient architecture and rich cultural heritage. Explore the narrow cobblestone streets, medieval churches, and archaeological ruins that tell the stories of centuries past.
We enjoy local cuisine and a refreshing stop at one of our favorite restaurants with a sea view costing us 36 leva in total with drinks ( Susan had 2) as well.
Throughout the video, we share our experiences, tips, and insights, offering guidance for fellow cycling enthusiasts and retired travelers keen on exploring this captivating route. We highlight the favorable weather and quieter paths in October, making it an ideal time for a peaceful and enjoyable ride.
Join us, creating memories of life in Bulgaria, a retirement full of activity and interesting people.
Looks like a beautiful morning for a bike ride and meal in Old Nessebar. It sure is very peaceful in Sunny Beach in October, which is great for biking & walking without worrying about traffic & lots of pedestrians. Nessebar is still very nice and we really enjoyed our visits there. Thanks for another wonderful video on Sunny Beach Life in October!😊❤
Yes it's very quiet after the season but a lot easier to get around and even park.
Hoping to come out with Paddy Trotter again next year
Be a busy season for sure.
Hi guys, past your place a good few times whilst over in September but unfortunately got gastroenteritis and was stuck in hotel for 4 days (Royal Sun apartments )and was only there for a week but got to Spiders and Iglza bars and spoke to some ex pat's who know you 😊Coming back next year so can explore properly. Love the vids. Cheers 👍✌
Pity you were ill, lots of people here know us of course. Next year you might bump into us.
enjoyed meeting you both at condor :) should be back when thhe summer starts
Appears to be starting a little earlier with flights anyway. We will be around and in condor of course.
I was there in September stayed in pomorie sun havnt 1 good word for it
It changed a lot, people loved it pre COVID. Now it's not really for Brits. Early in the year I did say this on a video. Only good thing it's not far to the beach and our best bars and restaurants are a few minutes walk away. Times we stayed in hotels we didn't use them for more than a base, out day and night.
Weather looks awesome for the time of year! I suppose that at some point there will be enough people living there It will be a year round full town or city. I first visited around 2008 and it is a lot bigger now and more finished. I Remember there was not even a finished pavement to walk between Sveti Vlas and Sunny Beach.
Path is good to vlas now, the south areas have upgraded too. Paths in central areas need updating for sure. There are more shops and businesses all year now as the population grows and they are building a new school this winter.
@@sunnybeachlife5860Well the Bulgarians have done very well with it considering it has been built from virtually nothing since the 60's. Very impressive especially as it was communist up until the 90's so I doubt many western tourists were visiting.
@@travelmail1172 Some come with a UK mindset of course, its different but we love it!
We walked from sunny beach to nessie bar when we were there on holiday. In august
Bit hot for us to do that, but did get up to Nessebar a lot in the season, love the restaurants and views.
Past your residence a few times whilst I was there.. stayed at the Royal Sun.
We are very central to everything but very quiet at night!
