Oooh interesting to hear about The Honey Witch, I have seen such mixed things! And such a bummer about Five Broken Blades, it really is mindboggling how they didn't capitalize on the romantasy aspects lol. Hope next week is great for you!
I'm starting to think that in "cozies," there has to be an element that you are personally drawn to in order to enjoy them. For me, it's witchcraft. I get that coffee and cinnamon rolls apply to most readers, but I was a barista for two years. 🤣
I had to skip the queue of my watch later to come to this to see your rant about Five Broken Blades - haha! I'll probably still check it out eventually, since I do have a dang copy of it, but only when I'm ready for fantasy romannnceeee so I appreciate that heads up because WOW what a freaking misleading synopsis!!!!
🤣🤣 Yes, I was so mad. Still am. I think I might have at least enjoyed the banter and pining if I knew that's what I was getting into so fingers crossed that the heads up makes it better.
I’m so glad I saw I last minute review for Five Broken Blades and was able to skip it for my Goldsboro sub. Everywhere the marketing conveniently left out that there was a huge romance element in it. I was suspicious with it being a Red Tower book though. I was willing to give it shot but I know now I would have never enjoyed it haha.
Yeah, highly disappointing when that's not what you're expecting. I was ready for a gritty assassin novel. I'm actually so mad about it, I've thought about doing a rant video about it.
I support your choice to binge the series! do it :D
Have you read it? It's so good.
@@trinforeman54 Not yet, but you bet it's on my tbr after your thoughts :)

@@trinforeman54 Tbh, give me witchcraft over coffee all day every day lol

My 12 year old son loves The Otherwoods by Justine Pucella Winans, maybe Dragonfruit would be his vibe too
I'd definitely give it a try.
