I find the opening kind of harsh and extremely loud, not the biggest fan. But after 30 minutes it settles down and becomes so fresh and perfectly sweet (much less sweet than opening) - the rest of the dry down is fantastic! Just spray like an hour before you step into the office.
I can't go beyond the EDT of the Y line for me. EDT smells the freshest, but there's something about EDP & beyond of the line that gives me a headache from being too on the sweet side, oddly enough.

Is there any difference in the lasting and projection of the newer batches compared to the older ones. I've heard people saying the older batches were beast mode, but the newer batches are above avg when it comes to projection and lasting
It’s still Y EDP. The bottles will get stronger as they mature. I wouldn’t worry about that. I have an original batch of Y EDP and I don’t consider it a beast mode fragrance. It’s a solid get you through a work day, refresh after work/school fragrance. It’s the sillage you want, not projection to get the most positive attention. People get all worried and bent out of shape if something gets reformulated or isn’t a specific batch code, that’s a headache you don’t need in your life.
@SoCalScents That is the most accurate thing about fragrances. When I started collecting I went for projection monsters, but I found I get the best compliments with ones that have strong silliage and not overly in your face.

I have this one and use it while doing Uber or a light first date because it’s definitely just a fun hey let’s get out type of cologne, it just smells good but it’s not like a hey I own the room type of smell. Basically it’s not sex in a bottle. If you like this one and would want to level it up on the manly scale you will like Haramain Amber Oud. Jump up and kiss me, Blonde Amber, No.1 by Clive Christian.

You can go up to 5 and feel comfortable. Always mix skin & clothes. If you are indoors or in a car, pull back, but if you are out doors spray a touch more.
While I think the whole Y line smells great especially this one but it’s like an instant headache for me and everyone I wore it around, even with one spray only. What a shame 🫤
EDP gives me a headache like 7/10 times so I don’t wear it even though I like how it smells. Thankfully none of the others do! Y Le Parfum is my favorite followed by Y Live.

I don’t think it smells more mature as any age can rock it. But I do like it better as well. It’s the powdery date night version of the Y DNA :)

Sad that it's true, Y EDP got reformulated and the performanced for the new batch also not bad and average but the old batch pre2021 is The BEAST!!
