It's easier to plan and decide for current and future banners when you have a better idea how many resources you will require without worrying about RNG messing it up.
Unless you are a whale that pulls for multiple dupes(can actually take advantage of the higher drop rate) or you have a blessed accound that wins every 50/50, you should pull on the 100% banner. I pulled on the Siris 100% banner and got her with 76 pulls.
This system is a win/win. The players aways have the character they want paying a little more, but still paying less than a losed 50/50. And Seasun gains more money from those lucky 50/50 wins you will never get anymore. Big brain move from the devs.
As someone who lost a majority of his 50/50s to Fritia and Yao, I'll absolutely rather do 100 pulls and get the limited rate up character instead of having to do around 130-140 each time! Still wished the rates would be a bit higher though.
I got her and her weapon, I paid a little bit but I think it was worth it because I really wanted her as I’m pretty sure we’ll get a lot of pulls for the anniversary and potentially give us a free character for it as well

in Special Limited Banner, I got Siris 5* in 70 Pulls; I'm happy but...I didn't get any missing 4* weapons (and only 1 Siris 4*, That was strange, the Haru 5* banner, its 4* versions were raining xD)
1 question did limited gacha carry the pity to the next banner? Imo pulling character on limited gacha worth it cuz u only need one. The manifestion can farmable and if u lose to 50/50 that quite suffer a lot. But weapon on the other hand. Hard pity goes only 45+ pulls so doesn't hurt much i guess and at least orange weapons can convert to components then trade to obtained sig weapon.

So, what this actually means, is that one has an almost 0% probability to get an early pull (for example at 20/100) on the guaranteed banner. Is that right? That would make it a really tough decision to make, especially on F2P, where the wrong choice and a lack of available digicash can easily cause you to miss the character. In the previous event, I got Cherno within 20/80 and Tess within 10/80 but with Haru's rerun, I lost 50/50 deep into the 60s and only got her at 58 on the 2nd go. Guess a coin toss will decide what banner to choose. 😛
I believe as a F2P you can only get around 70 pulls per month MAX in digicash plus shop pulls and stuff if they also give a few freebies at the start of the patch. Or around 60-65 if they don't give out any free stuff. So for me I literally have to save for 3 months nearly to get the 165 pulls needed for a weapon and an operative 😅. I'm not asking the devs to give out free stuff but damn they really want me to buy their skins but I never have enough pulls to get the characters the skins are actually for lol

When I started playing again in February, there was a "welcome back" banner on the main page with massive digicash drops and I also discovered I hadn't done any of the tactical evaluation stages either. So I ended up having so much digicash that I got to pull both Katya and Haru, in spite of the dreadful luck with Haru. I haven't had the money to buy anything in the game since I started playing in October so I don't have any skins; just characters. Really wanted to buy Tess' rerun skin but my stomach vetoed that desire.

it's funny, because on honkai impact 3rd the banner is the same as this special banner, 100 pulls you get the character, the rate is 2%(i never believe in gacha rates, i always roll thinking i'm gonna lose), but in genshin and starrail they removed it

Hmmm 🤔 i appreciate your explanation of this system it seems i had higher expectations for this new system but it fails to deliver. The pulls for this game have been a constant frustration i never seem to have enough to get limited characters. 100 pulls for guaranteed is better than nikke goddess of victory which requires 200 pulls for guaranteed pity. However the pulls in snowbreak are alot harder to get you dont get as many from events and also the gacha rate is worse than nikke. In nikke the hardest banners are pilgrim banners with 1% gacha rate but all standard events have a 4% rate. But also in nikke the only limited characters are summer characters and collaboration characters. All other characters even rare pilgrim characters can be obtained later in the standard banner. Also nikke does not require you to pull for weapons and the character banner is 10 pulls of characters. I dont usually like to compare games but it makes me appreciate gacha games that dont do so many limited characters. With snowbreak this new banner wont help much with my fomo for missing so many limited characters every update plus having to also roll for rerun limited characters is a bit annoying. Thank you for the video! Its a shame im a little disappointed with this new gacha system but oh well i will just have to accept i wont get many characters or weapons in this game everyone else will enjoy them i guess 🤣
Don't know what you're doing but if you do all the weeklies and dailies plus the new content you can easily get or close to a 100 pulls per update, plus every update gives you a free 10 pull and the monthly shop gives you an extra 5 so thats 15 already but just existing add another 5 from the event shop and thats 20 for doing the bare minimum in the game. Plus this being a gacha you should never play as a completionist or the "I gotta catch'em all" mentality. It'll ruin your over all enojoyment of the genre.

No, after reaching 100, you're guaranteed to get the featured limited operative in the banner. No need for more additional pull or even has a chance of losing 50/50

It was exactly how I expected, the draw rate for 5* char is way lower in this special banner, its lame. For me either you increase the number of pulls needed OR decrease the draw rates, you are guaranteed to get the rate up char in the 100 pulls but its almost impossible to acquire any 5* in that banner. To me is a total pass. I preffer to lose 50/50 and have a bigger chance to get my 5* before pity. Today just as an example was my luck day and I get Siris with 10 pulls and her weapon in another 10 pulls, and while you can say this is rare to happen (it really is) but it still happen sometimes, the same happened in the last chengxing rerun and i also got cherno weapon with 20 pulls, on the other hand that kind of thing will never happen in this special banner, you will aways be forced to go into pity.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't satisfied with this lol I mean the devs don't have to give us anything for free I'm not saying that but they increased the number of pulls and nerfed the gacha rate to hell which was already bad (1.3% nerfed to .7%). Throw on top of that EVERY single character and weapons banner in the game is limited how on earth are we supposed to actually get any of this stuff without paying or saving pulls for two months for ONE character not including weapons pulls. This didn't really do anything to address the problems with this game. Why would I buy their shiny new skins if I can't even obtain the characters the skins are for? This latest skin from the battle pass is for mauxir a character who hasn't had a rerun in 2 months anyone who joined the game due to the Enya interaction skin popularity literally won't even have her hahaha. Not sure why the devs are trying to double greed with a stingy gacha and paid skins when their game is just getting popular again and growing. Just and fyi as a f2p you can only get around 70 pulls per month if you grind EVERYTHING. The problem is mainly the game relies so much on rerun banners you will literally never catch up lol due to how low the amount of pull currency is. It can take 3 months to guarantee a single character and their weapon. In that time they will have run 6 characters and 6 weapons and you can only get ONE out of those. Unless you pay the ungodly amount for pulls which I believe is 60-80 dollars for 40 pulls. Im sorry but the guaranteed gacha is neat and all but once you actually look at the details the whole thing doesn't do anything to improve the game. Meanwhile the devs are busy making 5 more paid skins and not doing any game improvements with the 21 million $ they got last month lol I'm genuinely surprised how this game is getting so popular when it's extremely greedy with not much to show for it. I knew it was wise not to invest money into this game just a cash grab it seems like.

I’ve seen videos of people getting the character at 80-90 pulls, which is way better than 130-140 pulls or even more!

Based on personal experience on Genshin and Honkai pulls the new special banner sounds way better.

Seems like a you problem. I pretty much get most limited character banner very early, even the people I know who play the game do as well.

The 165 chest doesnt reset your pity, so no. You wont get more SSR out of 50/50.

@@brendonbewersdorf986 the rate is decreased because there is a chance to get standard character from 1.3%, the half of 1.3% is 0.7 and it's make sense since the wish in normal banner is 50% 50%
@@dwikonugroho6868 that makes sense but it's still shit 🤣 sorry but I think .7 is literally even worse than genshin the legendary stingy gacha itself. The problem is mainly the game relies so much on rerun banners you will literally never catch up lol due to how low the amount of pull currency is. It can take 3 months to guarantee a single character and their weapon. In that time they will have run 6 characters and 6 weapons and you can only get ONE out of those. Unless you pay the ungodly amount for pulls which I believe is 60-80 dollars for 40 pulls. Im sorry but the guaranteed gacha is neat and all but once you actually look at the details the whole thing doesn't do anything to improve the game. Meanwhile the devs are busy making 5 more paid skins and not doing any game improvements with the 21 million $ they got last month lol I'm genuinely surprised how this game is getting so popular when it's extremely greedy with not much to show for it. I knew it was wise not to invest money into this game just a cash grab it seems like.
