I’ve still got the original Daiwa Infinity DF rods. Personally, I much prefer the older ceramic lined SiC Rings compared to the newer SeaGuide TDG Rings. The rings on the new rods seem to wear out very quickly when fishing with Braid or heavy Mono. Daiwa are apparently aware of the problem but continue to use inferior rings.
I have the Diawa 25A BR. They are great reels for the money. As the guy's say there suited to small to medium water's but are capable of casting well over 100yrds if you have a capable rod I have them paired with 12ft 3.5lb TC Emblem rods and can hit 130yrds no probs. I will have to point out something that the guys didn't about the Emblem reel is that it's designed for mono and not braid, although, like in the video I do use braid on my spare spools ( just put some mono on first as backing to stop the braid spinning on the spool just ensure the mono diameter I the same or less than the braid) which you can buy direct from Diawa.

I've got the daiwa mission df .. belting rods still, getting them refurbished to put away for a rainy day
Indeed, i miss ceramic rings i feel much more confident about them not shagging my line up compared to metal guides.
@@triple6rcs18 Nice! 👌🏼 Please let me know where to get them refurbished as one or two of mine could do with a bit of a makeover.
The new rings are indeed rubbish
still using my daiwa regal 4550 brt reels :) 30 years old
Loving the content guys keep the reviews coming, just a quick one, BR stands for bait runner 👌

Good brother
Still got my 3x 12ft original diawa powermesh carp rods brought em brand new in 1995 still wicked rods even though looking a bit tired now
My tip would be put what you are using written up on the screen for a while, I had to keep going back on the vid to get what was said!!
On the emblem, the BR stands for Bait Runner sir.... not free spool...
I want 3 12 amorphous cant get em
Next week it’ll be the next sponsors kit that’s the best. Top tip: carp don’t care about your kit
Nice clobber but out of my budget unfortunately 👍
Idem.. Nowdays... Way too expensive new stuff everyday. Sadly 😔.
Why do you need to cast over 100y for I never understood casting long distances max I cast is 50 meters 35 meters is my go too distance
@@theimpaler5034 Exactly! 👍🏼 I find most fish in the margins TBH. No need for extreme distance casting IMO. Tight lines! 🎣
They keep going on about weight , basia sld weigh less than the 25qd
so the rods reels and all the other daiwa gear caught you fish, imagine if you were to use another manufacturer with better gear!!!
