I don't like her hand-holding/Captain Obvious intrusions in cutscenes; I know I'm not alone in that either, even if it ends up being really funny sometimes. But I do like her design and parallel growth alongside Link as they travel more together.
Just played the game for the first time on the Switch. I argue that this kind of character development was always in the game, but presented very subtly. When we start the game, Link is introduced as a very lack but good hearted person. Zelda and Groose’s comments tell us as much, describing him as prone to skipping on training and dopey at times. By the end of the game, Link is a hero who can stare down hordes of enemies and the demon king with a hardened glare with the skills and strength to take them all on. Demise himself calls Link a paragon among his people. Link went from a dopey, lax, but good kid to a hardened warrior who never surrenders and never succumbs, all thanks to the Trails Hylia placed for him. After all, Skyward Sword is the story of the forging of both the Spirit of the Hero and the Blade of Evil’s Bane.

I may not like Fi as much as Midna for a companion/fellow hero character, never mind the separate kettle of fish that is Ghirahim. But I do like her, and her personal growth along Link's journey as they travel across the surface and through the sky to save Zelda. Fi's voice work here is very nice: musical sounding and calm without being too robotic.

Saladin The Iron Lord they COULD be related, but imo Fi's just the opposite of Ghirahim, like Link with Ganon (except for that one sided love thing which is Fi x Ghirahim), they're both "swords" or "sword spirits" but It's strange that personality difference that they have, like Fi being almost a robot when talking about emotions and feelings, while Ghirahim being an arrogant and psychopath (almost).

If it was a specific statement like exactly 35% it would make sense to round up, but when you round up and then say it's less then 35% why didn't you just say that it was less than 34% or something. Just a nitpick, but since Fi is an allmost complete logical being, this detail bugs me a little.
I've always interpreted "rounded up" in cases like this to mean "if I rounded up for every measurement and then calculated appropriately, the result would still be less than 35%" like how Glados put it in Portal 2- "The odds are a million to one, and that's with some generous rounding." like the robot version of, "best case scenario." Really I think it's just a logistic error made in trying to add emphasis to imaginary statistics (a contradictory but common concept), but I try to make sense of it anyway.
Honestly if we had more moments like this in SS and less of "Master, your wii remote batteries are low," I would have had a better opinion of Fi overall.
Uh, what's the point of this? Most comics have some ironic twist, or some ACTUAL plot development. But, the just... exists. Doesn't highlight anything in Skyward Sword. Dunno why people make comics like this if there is no point to what the characters are saying or doing.
The point of this comic is showing how Fi and Link's relationship grows throughout SkyWard Sword. Fi starts out not understanding Hylia's choice in a hero. However, through seeing Link take on different challenges and quests, Fi determines he is indeed a hero....and then Fi personally admits to Link that he has all the heroic qualities that she previously thought he'd lacked. The comic shows character growth, and was made because Z-Raid decided it should be. It was from their imagination! That's the fun of fan comics. :)
