Kamran Hassan Saab has clarity, quality, depth and wide range in his voice which is eminently suitable for Ghazal Gayiki ! Besides, he has a style of gayiki which is so soulful and melodious ! This ghazal penned by the Shah-En-Shah-E-Hindustan His Majesty Bahadur Shah Zafar Saab originally sung by the great Mehdi Hassan Saab is very close to my heart because of his inimitable style of presentation and soulful gayiki! It has continued to be in my everyday menu for the last six months ! Hat's off to Kamran Hassan Saab for this wonderful bandish ! Struggle, passion, dedication makes a musician...late Khan sb ki voice ki tonal quality waqt k saath ubharti aayi ... aur unn ka riyaz sur ko tehrana.. pakar k rakhna... aur har shruti ko uss ka pura waqt o wazn deina...yeh bozorgoN k he kaam thay... avvalan aaj ka gaayak woh time he nahi de sakta... samajhne k liye waqt aur mehnat chahiye... phir appna rung dhoondhna...abb aise moti kahaN se laaeiN... allah jannat naseeb kareiN khan sb ko.. apna funn apne saath he le gaye... afsoas iss charagh ki roshni se koi aur charagh roshan na ho saka... khair Allah Karim

All we can say is that he is son of Mehdi Hasan and he has revived the memories of Khan saheb's excellent rendering of this Ghazal. The Tabla accompanyst is good. I have had the pleasure of visiting Bahadur Shah Zafar's tomb in Myanmaar. This Ghazal reminds me of that visit in 1998.

Mehedi sir kab bhi gate the tub unka mike speakers amplifier ki settings pe bada dhyan reheta tha. Aur usme wo mahir bhi the.
