I’ve been using an AeroGarden for about a year. I love it so much that I now have 3! I’ve grown all kinds of herbs and cherry tomatoes. Now I’m getting ready to grow lettuces, kale, bok Choy and yellow cherry tomatoes! FYI You need room for the tomatoes because they will take over. That’s why I have multiple gardens so I can plant the tomatoes with nothing next to them. Happy growing! 😊
Ahhh so exciting!!! I am hoping to add to my collection as well and get a couple more. 🤩🤩 I really love the ease and simplicity! And thank you for letting me know about the tomatoes because I was wondering why they were getting so big! I might have to move them to another pot. 😊😊
It’s adorable, like a Fisher Price toy garden, but my husband and I would eat your whole garden for lunch! Maybe like you said for an herb garden, but it was a really good video
Hahaha omg so funny. 😅😅 Oh yes, definitely won’t replace our whole veggie consumption.. but I’ve gotten a decent yield on the lettuce as the leaves regrow! I do plan to do more herbs and I love having those fresh and readily available in my kitchen. 😍😍
😆😆😆 Omg SAME. It has been sooo easy. I love that I don’t have to figure out how much water to add, it’s just one central water port that you add to and it dispenses on its own. 😊🙌🏻🙌🏻
Ive been interested in this system for a while now, looks so pretty! One things though, you really should have the lights as low as possible when you have seedlings in the system and raise the lights as they get larger. Keeps them from getting leggy and helps the lettuce bush out vs go stringy reaching for the light.
Yes we really love ours!! Perfect addition to the kitchen. I believe the light height is changeable, but this was the height recommended by the company, so I just followed their recommendations. 😊
This is AWESOME!!! Living in an apartment, I have no garden space. I can't afford one right now, but I'm getting one when I can. And I have just the spot for it!
Woohoo! So glad to hear it!! I agree they are so great for people who don’t have space for a garden (like me 😅). I really think they’re great little gardens. 💛
Same here! And the herb bundles either come in plastic or it's way too many for me to go through all at once. I definitely think this is a great solution for fresh herbs. 😊😊
Do you have an idea of the amount of lettuce you got from one plant? How long did they keep producing before they need to be replaced? Thanks for the video!
Good question! It wasn't that much actually, maybe equivalent to one large head in total? I probably won't buy lettuce next time because the yield isn't that good compared to how much I eat! LOL. But the herbs totally worth it and hopefully the tomatoes will be coming in strong as well. 😊 Also excited to see how the chard and kale grow.
So funny you have featured this. Last weekend we met the Portuguese rep at a veg fest in Porto and he gave us a demo. We have a greenhouses so didn't go for it ( I got the micro greens growing kit) but so smart for flats :)
Oh wow that is so funny! Oh yes, definitely wish we had space for more of a garden … but I agree this is perfect for flats, condos, small apartments… it’s really a great concept. 🤗🤗
These are different from regular garden tomatoes. They’re for hydroponic growing. Just give them water and plant food and they grow and produce like crazy. At least mine did. I used 4 pods of tomatoes and that was too much. Two of them were crowded out so I had to remove them. I had so many cherry tomatoes!
Thank you for this review. As a garden-noobie, I still don't understand things like mint or thyme have a limited life. have to throw away the dried out husk and plant fresh. Some things don't grow forever. 🙂
You can do either! You can definitely fill the pods with your own soil and seeds. I like to use the ones from Click & Grow because I like the smart soil they use, but totally up to you. 😊
Hey! Their soil and seeds are not treated with any chemicals to my knowledge. Check out the info the listed here! support.clickandgrow.com/hc/en-us/articles/216827568-Are-Click-Grow-pods-organic- 😊😊
I'm not quite sure what you mean! You can take some of the plant and move it to another pot, if that's what you're asking. You can also use your own seeds to start new plants. Some plants last a long time (like the basil) and keep regenerating, while others only grow once (like lettuce). Hope that helps!
For herbs....maybe. But, the wife and I are getting 80% + of our calories from whole plant foods. We eat over a pound of leafy greens per day alone. We need a garden....or 45 of those but I don't think that we have the space or power supply to our house that could run all of them. The yield from one of them we would eat in one meal 😞 I've always wanted something like that but just not enough food would come from it. Herbs, maybe and that depends on what we are cooking at the time. Loved the review though.
Oh yea, they’re definitely not going to replace my regular veggie consumption. I’d need a huge garden for that! 😃 (Maybe one day… 🥹) But for herbs I do think they’re great and I’m actually quite excited to see the yield I get from the kale and chards as well. 😀
No worries! If you use my link I will still get credit and YAY, so glad you got one!! That is awesome and you'll have to keep me posted on how you like it. 🤩🤩
Unless there’s an app collecting your data. Or you have to purchase every component, including the “smart soil.” That said, I’d still buy one of these! 😂
Well, plants grow bigger in bigger pots. Maybe okay for herbs a few herbs. Tomato's are begging for more room. But if you like it. Plus, its probably costly.
No i don't think it is the future of gardening because of space restrictions Maddie you can't grow as much compared to an outdoor garden. I would still encourage it though because growing your own food is so good and it tastes much better. I am fortunate enough to have a allotment/garden as well as my hydroponic system. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞 Maddie & ♥️Q.

@@LetsEatPlants Don’t you also need to fertilize the flowers by hand to get fruit ?
@@dovaillancourt Yep! It's in the directions for the tomatoes. 😊😊

You’re welcome! Thanks for watching! 🤗🤗🤗

I need to try this! It's so hard to find fresh herbs near me, and when I do they're so expensive. Thanks for the code too.

Hey this is pretty coool! The wife’s been trying to get her garden going but it is not easy with wind, pests and pesky mosquitos
Hey Brian! Haha thanks! It’s been so fun watching everything grow. Omg how cool you guys have a garden! Wind and pests are half the fun. 😝
This looks so cool! Garden right in the kitchen, so convenient! ❤😊
Right!? It’s been great!! I love having it right there for easy access. 🤗🤗
@@LetsEatPlants and it looks beautiful too 😊❤️
So, tomatoes need pollinators, or at least some wind to set fruit. Does the manual discuss this and offer suggestions for hand pollination?

I used 4 pods of tomatoes and that was too much. Two of them were crowded out so I had to remove them. I had so many cherry tomatoes!

Thank you for this review. As a garden-noobie, I still don't understand things like mint or thyme have a limited life. have to throw away the dried out husk and plant fresh. Some things don't grow forever. 🙂
Oh yes, as a noobie myself I am still learning all that as well! I will move some of my plants to bigger pots and see how long they live. 😊😊
Do I have to buy a new pods every time I need to plant or I can do my own and put my own seeds and soil
You can do either! You can definitely fill the pods with your own soil and seeds. I like to use the ones from Click & Grow because I like the smart soil they use, but totally up to you. 😊
This looks very nice, do you know if the soil/seeds are treated with chemicals? Originally treated hopefully❤ thank you

Did you grow the kale already ? I am a kale Monster and mine is getting eaten by bugs outside. I think I would grow only kale and parsley !
I haven't yet! Still have plants coming out, so I'll probably start the kale once the lettuces are done. 😃
Does it re-generate leaves from the same seed ?
I'm not quite sure what you mean! You can take some of the plant and move it to another pot, if that's what you're asking. You can also use your own seeds to start new plants. If you want to be happy for a month, get married? What? Some people get a whole month? LOLOL, just kidding. Awesome video, thank you!
😂😂😂 Omg this comment made me laugh out loud!!
Looks a great kit for herbs but probably not practical for bigger plants.
Actually, I’m planning to move the tomatoes once they’re bigger! Apparently you can easily transfer them and let them continue to grow. 😀
