Very nice and simple. I've been working on making one for the canoe (17 foot) and 10 foot kayaks for the boys. This looks like my 8 year old can haul his kayak with ease.
Super badass. Curious how much your canoe weighs. I'm wanting to pull me 90lb kayak + gear with my bike. Then I want to mount the bike and dolly to the kayak so I can go wherever I want.
not sure of the weight. I have towed the canoe with a kayak in it along with fishing gear. I think the issue will be towing (starting, stopping, turning) before reaching the weight limit of the trailer.
Just bought our first canoe. Now I know exactly what to do with the kids old bike trailer. Thanks for sharing your work. How did you form the wooden cradle pieces?
Hello and thank you for watching. I used some flexible plywood mint for bending. I don know the name of it. using the foam as a spacer we placed one piece of plywood down covered it in Tight Bond III, then laid another plywood strip on top of the glue I then used a ratchet strap to form it to the canoe. Good luck and let me know how it turns out!
Hello Darren! Thank you for watching my video. My dad picked up a retracting ratchet strap. We removed the short strap and hook attached to the base. The base had holes in it so we bolted the base directly to the white plastic plate. I hope this helps.
@3:05 I bet you didn't tell her that when she was making you dinner or cleaning the house or changing diapers or "sleeping" with to you. You might want to rethink your choice of words.
Great job. You’ve inspired me to do one for my canoe. Thanks for the video.

it's easy to pull. when loaded down give your self some space to stop.
Wow! Looks amazing!
Just wanted to say - incredible job! Be proud! We will be building one too!

@@BoellerFamilyFun wow sounds like a lot! yeah thinking some disk breaks would be preferable for such a task.
@@NickolasHinderer I have upgraded to a golf cart so I don't use the bike to tow much any more.
Well done.....excellent design, Love the DIY
Thank you! 😊

How did you ratchet strap that white plastic to the front. Looked like a special kind of lever? Thanks in advance cool

Nice - would love to see how it's done, but hey, maybe it helps to just *do it irl 👍
Wish that you showed in detail how you connected to the bike and how you connected to that white plastic on the conoe.
