  • Join me in this garden clean up as I prepare for a lush and productive late-season garden! In this video, I cut back my Salvia to encourage a beautiful second autumn/fall flush of blooms, thin out overcrowded zucchini plants, and tackle powdery mildew by removing affected butternut squash leaves. You'll also see me prune and shape my dianthus for a fresh look and trim my eggplant tree into my preferred form. Watch for tips and inspiration to keep your garden thriving into the autunm/fall season!

Your salvias looks amazing. These plants are such easy growers. Your zucchini's looks healthy. Sad that you had to leave only two plants but they are usually so prolific that I understand your reasoning.

@KristelViljoen This year, I plan to try succession planting zucchini to ensure a steady and abundant harvest. Last year, I attempted growing golden zucchini, but it was a complete disaster. I managed to harvest just one yellow zucchini before powdery mildew took over and ruined the rest of the crop.
