I was able to figre it out finally, I had to do a search on html5 png download and download it to my pc then put the file in the 01_lesson folder that was created, make sure you rename the file to html5.png so you do not get an error when adding it. Also make sure to cut from downloads and paste it into the 01_lesson folder.
This is one of the best basic HTML course on the internet! Dave took me from nothing to building a basic HTML website in the span of just 2 days. I could understand him even after not being a native english speaker and the experience he has in this field truly speaks, he's a great coder and teacher aswell, thanks dave!
Sir, the way you navigated the entire course without missing anything is just spectacular. Hats Off to you Sir. You covered almost everything that a beginner can need, and with such a beautiful way of explanation. Couldn't just leave, without putting it out here. Thank you for your hard work.
I began my coding journey with this video tutorial on 3/21/22. Waking up at 5am everyday to code for 2 hours before I go to work. I have learned so much from this video in the past 19 days taking it little by little. After completing this it just made me that much more motivated to dive further in. Thank you for making what I thought was impossible for me to do, very easy for me to understand.
Awesome! My plan is similar to yours, just checking this video for the first time before going to sleep so I can wake up as early as I can to start working on this before going to work.
What an awesome course. I am almost 40 years old, and I’ve always been intrigued by coding. I decided to dive in as a hobby. I’m starting with HTML and CSS. This was a great beginner course. It was easy to understand and easy to follow. Thank you.
I am 14 years old I love programing and I desided to start with HTML and I hope to keep learning more programing languages and I hope every one here to achive all their goals (don't give up)
start by learning html, css and javascript. After that you should learn the react framework and finally you can learn Angular or Bootstrap or vue.js. If you are 14-15 years old now, by your 18s-19s you will be very good at front end development to seek a job
UGH. I love this way of teaching! 1. He keeps everything super simple for the average person to understand. 2. He doesn't move too fast. 3. He explains everything he does. 4. Each chapter is fairly short, which is amazing! 5. There are only 10 short chapters! 6. The tutorial isn't 15 or 20 hours long like a lot of others.
I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for your exceptional teaching skills. Your ability to be concise, yet thorough, while maintaining an appropriate teaching pace has made all the difference in my learning journey. Your explanations hit the mark, covering all the essential points I needed to know about HTML. As a result, I've gained a solid understanding of the subject without feeling overwhelmed. You are truly an outstanding teacher Dave, and I'm a huge fan from Ethiopia.
For those of you who got confused here 23:50 . . . just download any random image file then drag and drop that into the first folder that we made and it'll appear in VS code automatically
This HTML course is incredibly well structured and professional The lessons are clear, practical, and perfect for anyone looking to build a strong foundation in HTML. Highly recommend!
Hi folks, here's Landry a young learner becoming a geek thanks to these kind of tutorials. I am trying to build some app and social media platform. I've done the exercises and followed the entire course. Thank for everything.

Definitely one of the the best videos on here. he is humble, patient and most of all understands his students. I'm really learning a lot and I am happy to have come across this video. You're such a blessing Dave, great stuff !
Dave you're an amazing teacher! I managed to perfectly mimic that HTML project without looking back on the video. I really appreciate you making this video, it's a big help for beginners such as myself.
I have been studying web development for the past 4 months and this is by far the best tutorial I have ever encountered. Every topic is discussed with the utmost clarity and the pace is perfect for beginners. Thank you Mr. Dave Gray for the incredible information you shared, you are an incredible teacher!

Very, very informative. Dave covers a lot of code and shortcuts in a succinct style that most other coders don't cover. He articulates the lesson well, and his style of writing HTML seems very efficient. He provides a great little project that utilizes a lot of features as hands-on project development is the fastest way to learn any code.
never coded in my life before, however, with this sort of lessons I think everyone can code. Man you are good and your training material ought to be used in schools
I am old school back from 1993 to 2010 html coded websites (edu, friends and personal). I'm watching in Aug 2024. Retired (nursing admin) in 2010 and volunteered for non profit websites. Used a "builder" 2012- 2023, then attempted WP but frustrated with "blocks". Want to understand the backend. Started Daves CSS video and realized HTML refresher was needed. This video is so very insightful. HTML 5 is more layered then what I was doing 15 years ago. I'm now understanding how HTML and CSS work together. ❤ Plan to move on to his CSS and other webdev videos. My volunteering to update and maintain the websites for our local (small) non profits would not be possible for me without people like Dave.
I was going to watch this just for fun thinking that you would just talk about stuff I already knew. Holy crap was I wrong. I've learned so much more about HTML. Thank you.

Shout out to Dave inspiring a lot of people. This was the third video i played to understand basics of html and it was so plain and simple even though i had no prior in programming. Great work everyone involved. Keep the good work Within 3 days done my first project. I'm attempting the exercises on my own .
I wanted to say THANK YOU I got my first web dev job! I started 9 months ago with this course and now I made a portfolio based on React Typescript projects and will start into my first frontend engineer job in July =) Believe in yourself guys! You can make it!
Hello, greetings from Colombia. I must say this is one of the best HTML tutorials I've watched, it is so accured and easy to understand and also very modern, really hats off to you, thanks for sharing!
Mad respect for Dave here for making such a detailed video on just HTML. I feel like a new level of teaching standard has been reached. Thanks so much for all your hard work.
I started taking this course last september 4th and today september 7th I'm still dividing it into many biteable sections, I really feel I can learn and become better with this videos. Great video, I subscribed to your personal chanel, and after I fnish with this course, I'll dive into your own videos.
I appreciate this excellent content, and now I've gained a fundamental understanding of HTML. I've successfully created the website, and I'm moving on to learn CSS.
This is straight up, the best tutorial for HTML on the entire internet. I have signed up for many Web development bootcamps online and paid a lot of money for it. Still, this content beats all the explanation given by other teachers online. I like the way how the entire videos is structured and how copious amount of information and knowledge is shared to slow learners like me. I would definitely recommend this video to anyone who wants to learn html from scratch. On top of it, thanks for making this valuable information free on TH-cam. Big Fan of your channel ❤.
Hi Dave. This tutorial is close to perfection; and I've only been through the first 40 minutes so far. In addition to the excellent actual contents, one of the elements of this video that I particularly appreciate is the quality of your speech: just the right speed (or tempo, to put it in musical terms), your pleasant and comfortable tone of voice, and the clarity of your accent, which - by any measure - is a priceless thing for the French native speaker that I am and who can understand every single word. A million thank you.
Thank you Dave for this amazing tutorial. I definitely know much more after I have watched it. It actually took me more than 4 hours, probably around 10 because I paused the video for 100 times to make notes and so on. So much information to process now.
Same here, I also started making notes of the tutorial. It helped me save time in the long run. I retail more info and can review thing much faster than before.
Dave, I've been looking for a good HTML tutorial for weeks, and yours is the best I've found. I especially appreciate how you broke down the concepts into manageable steps and made sure to cover the latest updates too. You're a great teacher! Keep up the fantastic work
I dissected this video several times and now I understand html. I took detailed notes and made easy access files for later reference. Now I have html knowledge. Thank you.
Monday 27/06/22 I started my 12 Weeks to become Web developer starting with this video, I will be learning to code for 4h everyday for 3months and hopefully by then, I would be a confident web dev... I am documenting my journey on my youtube channel. Good Luck everyone👍🏽 we can do it.
I am halfway through the course, and i feel like i am learning everything so clearly, i started this with the main goal of making an online CV + cover letter i could share with potential employers, and i just want to say, God bless these people that share such amazing information for free, especially this channel is host of some of the most comprehensive courses online, whoever is in charge of this channel/project great job, millions of people thank you for it, and say it was a low quality course, but no man all of the courses here are concise, comprehensive and well explained.
Dave, I want to thank you sincerely for this tutorial. It cleared up a lot of issues I was confused about with HTML, especially concerning divs, articles and sections. I coded along with you as you taught how to create the "My Goals" pages, but I did the taco project entirely on on my own. I got it to work correctly, but when I then followed you code your solution, I learned even more. The proper usage of articles and sections became very evident. Plus your overall structuring approach is just what I needed to see. Thanks again!
You really teach well and the videos are clear and zoomed well and beginners can understand please do more of this i have started my web development journey and hope to get somewhere .. hoping to have more on CSS and Javascript as well. This tutor deserves an award.

Good day Dave, thank you so much for creating this awesome tutorial as well as the CSS Tutorials for Beginners! I am new to website design and find it very interesting. I really like that you teach how to write code that is structurally and semantically correct. This gives a good foundation on how to properly write professional code. You cover coding from the beginning to more advanced and you explain everything you do at a good pace and in a simple way, so that us newbies can follow and understand. I have learnt so much from your tutorials and although I won't remember everything immediately, I know what can be done and just need to keep on practicing to get better and more comfortable. I have subscribed to your channel! Thank you very much. Kind regards from South Africa
So. my journey begins from here today! (16.Nov.2024)--I'm 25. I'm a professional video editor and motion designer. Trying to shift my career into programming. Wish me luck guys. I hope I will make it.
Your teaching style is wonderful! I’ve started out with other courses (including those on Skillshare) and yours is, by far, the best. I like the speed you go and how you explain WHY you’re doing what you’re doing. I need that. Other instructors just say, “type this…” and “type that…” and I’m clueless as to the why. How could I possibly remember what, if I don’t know why? Anyhoo, I’m a few days into learning html5 and I feel like I’ll actually be able to stick with it because of your videos. (I tried learning XHTML years ago but gave up because I thought I just wasn’t smart enough) I now believe I AM smart enough and I plan to move on to other languages after I’m more confident in HTML and CSS. Thank you so much!
My HTML Journey: Day 1: I'm just so excited!! Web development is always been my dream and I thought it was complicated. This is the first coding course I've ever taken. It took me 3 days to complete this tutorial. I really learnt a lot and Dave really explained stuff in great details. I think this has to be the best tutorial on html out there. Now I am gonna move on to his CSS tutorial.
Thank you so much for this! It's crazy how much I've learnt. Dave covered a lot of essential and basic knowledge through out the tutorial and made it easy to follow. He took me from pretty much no knowlegde to understanding the general structure of html, furthermore semantic tags used to confuse me a lot, but after this they became much clearer to me! I had some trouble with the tables on the proyect, but I was able to do pretty much everything else alone. I really can't thank you enough, it had a huge impact on showing my boss a great improvement in html in just a matter of days :))
Dave, this is a GREAT course. I loved your attention to details and some necessary repetitions + all the background info you provided. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
The video is just what I’m searching for I was scared of coding and today this video makes me love coding more thanks very much you are the best of the best

Shout out to Dave inspiring a lot of people. This was the third video i played to understand basics of html and it was so plain and simple even though i had no prior in programming. Great work everyone involved. Keep the good work

The BEST html tutorial I've ever seen in my life...LOVE from BANGLADESH.....
Its been one year since I wrote my initial comment. I came back recently to refresh my html knowledge. Damn it, this video is still gold ✨✨
@@whimsicalkins5585 hmm, thats nice
Dave Grey is an awesome teacher. Nice to see him here.✌️

Hello bro can you send me your notes for help
Truly, this is the best introduction to HTML that I've seen. Thank you for putting it together!

what do you want to learn again ?
hey wanna be friend ?
Thanks a million, guys I have one question; 03:53:00,

why didn't we add "scope" for the Tacos Column?

Dave gray is one of the best instructor I have ever come acrossed he made sure by touching every stuff in depth
