Isn’t seeking enlightenment/buddhahood inherently selfish? Isn’t it more meaningful to be a bodhisattva and continue to help sentient being. Also is it really solidly established that animals cannot achieve bodhichitta?I mean they are sentient too, so many clips of animals on TH-cam showing extreme compassion to other animals. I am glad you are trying to make these dense philosophy more approachable. I think a lot of people are turned off by how esoteric these concepts are and settle for being nominal/cultural Buddhist (not sure if that’s the right way to put it).
