Birkenstock Cork Sealer Review

This is my review of the Birkenstock Cork Sealer plus a much needed cleaning to my birks. I am in no way a professional and my birks could definitely use a more thorough cleaning with the designated cleaning kit from the company. However, they are looking much better and I very much recommend getting this kit if you have a pair. It's inexpensive, easy to use and so worth it. It will prevent your cork from falling apart and help your birks last longer.
🌟 Really important to note...If you get a pair, I definitely recommend wearing them in short increments until you break them in because if you try to wear them for hours at first, you'll be sorry. There are tips online of things you can do to break them in faster, but I personally think patience is the best way. (Even though I don't have much of that myself!)
I do know that these are not cruelty free as they use leather. If I purchase a pair in the future, I definitely am going to check out their leather free versions. But I don't foresee having to purchase a pair anytime soon, these last so long, I've heard of people having them 15+ years!

If you have friends going to Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand, ask them to get a bottle of latex glue from the stationery store. Works like a charm. Looks like Elmer glue, slightly yellow. When set, it looks transparent. Smear thinly on the cork footbed. Less than $1 per bottle, works better than anything else you can find on the planet.
