the oil screen is under the oil send lines, Audi even calls it Turbo oil supply screen. return drains down to crank case together with PCV return galleys. maybe inspect pcv aswell.
Yes, and a dirty screen is also the reason for the numerous turbo failures these engines have experienced over the years. It was not until 2017 Audi introduced a new, more ”open” screen in the 4.0TT engines.
perhaps they deleted the screens earlier before the turbo failures and when the new turbos went in they installed new screens so the bits ended up in the oil pan from the first failure???
