For future reference when the "B" is capitalized that means "bytes", not "bits". You were saying your drives were getting "39 megabits" when you should've said "megaBYTES" which would have ended up around like what 300 megabits or so?
I have a silly question. I have an old SSD with a factory heatsink. I want to use it for something but I don't have any systems at the moment that can take advantage of it. Do you think this enclosure can fit an SSD with pre installed heatsink? I mean it is ideal because it has a fan. The thickness of the SSD is about 1/3 or an inch or 8.4mm. Cheers.
The data is mixed on this. The sticker itself serves as a thermal dissipator too. Which works better? The stick or direct contact with the thermal pad? That depends on the specific drive and thermal pad. I would probably want to take the sticker off to get direct contact between the chips on the drive and the thermal pad, but it won't make a massive difference either way unless you are hammering the drive with a lot of load for an extended period of time. In regular usage, it isn't really a problem.
Thanks for the heads up! It looks like I just had to update the link. It should work now. Also, I'm still using my enclosure for video editing and game emulation, and it's working perfectly. Still love it! :) geni.us/4CtED
What's up, my dude? Check out the Yottamaster enclosure HERE: geni.us/4CtED
and the NVME SSD I recommend HERE: geni.us/9FBjHI
Hi, thanks for the review. Happens that the Yottamaster enclosure is not available. Got an alternative with similar performance?

Thanks for the heads up. I always mix those up. :)
excelente video mi estimado amigo un abrazo grande
does the nvme have a dram cache? is the write speed slowing after a while due to the lack of dram?
Thanks for the question! It has 128MB of DRAM. I haven't experienced any speed drops personally.
Thank you. I think the 1 year warranty is a drawback for these Team nvme ssd's whilst crucial are happy to offer a 5 year warranty
@@RameshRam-tr4zn I actually just double-checked, and this drive does also have a 5 year warranty, so you shouldn't have any trouble there.

I was curious about the speed of those 20gbps usb enclosures, how quick would they be (might be more accessible speed)
Don't you have to peel the label which was on nvme before applying the thermal pad?
The label is a thermal transfer heatsink.

usb 4.0 40gps is about m.2 mobo port fast. but enclosures are very expensive
Very interesting review, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! 😊
Dude, this thing is no longer available on Amazon so must have been bad defect.

Thats a sick shirt! Where did you get it?👀
lol Thanks! I think I picked it up at TJ Maxx, or something like that.
Enclosures are great, small fans are not great.
not that fast
