    The transition from enemies to lovers is done well. The chemistry between Adalind and Nick was there from the first episode. Glad they ended up together she fits into his world and supports Nick better than Juliete ever did.

      Yeah, it only a shame that took the producers so long to take the message, believe or not, I was the first one to purpose this kind of "shipping" back in Season 1, pairing Nick with a Wesen, mostly the lady dragon, but also Adalind, because I liked way more her character than Juliette, this would be a better supernatural drama if Adalind would have been Nick girlfriend instead of Juliette, because Adalind would have no idea that Nick is a Grimm until he see her other face, also it would themes of love and trust between, after all Grimms and Hexebeast are mortal enemies, and of course there the issue of Nick aunt, even that she would be hypocrite if she says something against Adalind, after all, she had a relationship with a Wesen ones, but the producers didn't get the memo, and even then they refuse to kill Juliette.

      I loved them together and always hated Nick with Juliette. Adalind got together with Nick knowing the real him -- once Juliette found out about the supernatural stuff, you could feel the tension and they were never happy. He could be himself with Adalind, and vice versa.

      Adalind from season 1-3 and most of season 4 was a horrible match for Nick, but that all changed mid season 4. Juliette was good for Nick for the first half of season 1, but once she lost her memory, they should have either killed her off or let her left town. They ran Nick & Juliette and Renard & Adalind way past when they should have walked away.

      I agree. The Nadalind story is the highlight. The only thing I hate about Grimm is that the Nick/Juliette fans seem super intensely aggro about the end and hate Adalind with a fiery intensity beyond all rationality. I get why, but its like, imo, Juliette doesn't need Nick and is more kickass when she is Eve and not pining for some dude. (That is not that great a catch, lets be honest, like I love Nick/Adalind but here's a guy that doesn't even ask how the wesen know he's Grimm til Season 4, lol, and often seems emotionally stunted to me, haha.).

      @@gloryvincent4083 Juliette wasn't meant for the Wesen world and she inserted herself into it after knowing and experiencing the dangers of that world several times. As soon as she got her memory back she had the chance to leave, she could've easily said she just couldn't deal with that world and left Nick and pretty much all knowledge of Wesen activity she had as it was. But instead she decided to be the go-between for him and Kelly, actively out Wesen friends of her's, travel to the trailer and read all the books, and just find ways to insert herself further into the team activities like the Zombie outbreak. But then despite all of these conscious choices she blames Nick and the rest for everything that happened later. Also it isn't like we haven't seen Hexenbiest who try or can control the more chaotic and negative traits of Hexenbiest. The main reason I like Adalind is that you see her truly try and struggle to keep it in check.

      I don't see Adalind as a villain in my view she did the same as Renard did in season 6, she was just dumb and chose wrong paths, we see in season 6 that even Hexinbiest she is not evil (may be an effect of motherhood)

    • @augury2699
      @augury2699 2 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      @@elton.r.a3815 I both agree and disagree. Adalind chose the wrong path due to her infatuation with Renard in season 1. Everything after that until she was pregnant with Diana was her being vindictive and retaliating against Nick's group and Renard, Nick and his group for taking her powers and later her daughter. Renard for abandoning her after using her. Where she differs from renard though is that she actually tried to change. While Renard knowingly chose to go against Nick's group everytime the choice was there. He was a friend by circumstance rather than choice. Adalind was also there by circumstance but at the same time chose to stay and really tried to change.

    The evolution of this relationship was handled in a way other shows should take more notes on. They didn't evolve this forcefully, they did it slowly and organically. They showed both of them having major trauma and needing each other to deal with it. Once they got under the same roof they both were able to relax for the first time since the show started. Adalind had been bounced around from 1 place to the next from the start, never able to feel secure because she only mattered as long as she had something to offer. Nick changed that, he never made her feel as if she if her worth was based on what she offered. She was able to just be her for the first time since the show began.
    Nick always was in turmoil with Juliette, he had to lead a double life, the man and the Grimm. He was never comfortable in his home because there was always drama even after work. Adalind never judged, never asked him to change, and excepted who he was and let him know that was enough for her.
    These 2 helped each other heal

For the first 3 seasons they were constantly at odds and then when Nick finally tells her, she doubts him, doesn't believe him about being a Grimm. Even rhythm things get fixed and they are on the same page, Juliette is never happy. So I just like to point out why Adalind was able to succeed where Juliette couldn't.

      I'm watching Grimm again for the umpteenth time and when you watch things multiple times you tend to notice things you might have missed. And what I'm noticing now is whilst the script writers/producers might have decided to make Adalind Nick's soul-mate because of Claire Coffee's real life pregnancy watching some of the early episodes from Season 6 I wonder if deep down they still wanted Nick/Juliette to be together and the reason I mention this is because there are still so many scenes that are "Juliette/Eve focused." The scenes with Eve literally living in the tunnels and listening to Adalind and Nick talk especially the scene when he says to Adalind "I thought "I thought was gonna go crazy without you" when she was with Renard, then for her to end up actually living with them after she collapses. I'm sorry but not only is that wrong but completely unrealistic! Then there's all those scenes in the Spice Shop investigating the writing on the cloth. Who's always there? Juliette and who else is always there? Nick of course and absolutely no sign of Adalind whatsoever. When I watch those scenes in the Spice Shop I immediately think "cliquey" as in Munroe and Rosalee have always been Nick and Juliette's friends and Adalind is just an after thought. Also apparently the producers said that they ran out of time for Nick to tell Adalind he loved her which is why he said it at the end in the "Other World" No they didn't. He could have told her when he went to see her when she was at the mansion with Renard or how about their first night together when she came back to the loft because script-wise Nick was starting to say plenty of things to prove that he was already in love with her not to mention the fact that Eve mentioned it because of her emotional connection with both of them!

When Adalind did horrible tricks to Nick, I was excited and interested in her more. Her character is developed than Juliette. Besides, if Juliette was truly in love with Nick, she would've never done all those terrible things. Actually, she would've trusted Nick, or at least would've tried to trust him, when he opened up about being a Grimm. Adalind seems a much more honest person than Juliette ever was, at least when it comes to Nick.

      Idk if that's fair. Adi was born into this world where as Juliette knew nothing of it and spent 5yrs happily with nick and then, to her, nick became withdrawn, secretive, and the girl thought she was losing it. She had death spells cast on her, love spell side effect with Sean, amnesia, constant danger, and she still was right there with him and doing her part. Adi was the catalyst to her downfall. Juliette losing control after becoming a hxnb is understandable, but killing Nick's mom and actively fighting against nick is out of character to the woman we got to know. I'd maybe buy it if it was handled better, but as is, no. I agree that the romance of nick and adi was handled better which is really odd since David and bitsie are actually married now and we're dating/engaged during the span of the show. The writing didn't take advantage of the natural relationship between the 2.
      I feel like the show wrote itself into a corner with the turning of Juliette and the royals/war storyline that was either rushed or or not well paced and planned. There was so much potential and story lines that never resolved or fizzled. I do look forward to the show's return with the kids tho. I can't imagine not having Monrosalee n the gang back for some epis. Everyone is wesson save hank, so they'd age differently. Maybe we will.

With Nick and Juliette it was a defferent story, Nick was always trying to protect Juliette, and she didn't want to accept who he is, the relationship revolved around her. Which for me was toxic

      ADALIND was willing to sacrifice her powers to help Juliette granted it was her fault in the first place.
      When she gave up her powers she didn’t want them back but knew she’d get them back and was worried what Nick might do/think of her.
      He knew that she had her powers back before she told him but allowed her to tell him to build that trust. When she told him he was okay with it.

    The world truly works in mysterious ways. Nick and Adalind went from mortal enemies to love birds. Their story is “interesting” to say the least. I love them together, but it’s sad that things ended the way they did between Nick and Juliette/Eve. I think Adalind’s character growth is phenomenal. She practically transformed when she found out she was having a baby with Nick. Juliette however, went in the exact opposite direction. But she made up for it as best she could as Eve.

  • @iamlinda100
    @iamlinda100 3 ปีที่แล้ว +84

    during the time they spent together caring for their son, Adalind and Nick really bonded and connected, not just physically but on an emotional level too. Through their time and interactions together they got to know each other better, Adalind gradually became a more caring and compassionate person and she matured, became less selfish and genuinely started to care about Nick and everyone around her, she was genuinely remorseful for all her mistakes & bad things she did to Nick & his friends in the past & was trying her best to redeem herself & I think she really did, her redemption arc was great. While Nick hated Adalind at first and knew that she was a Hexenbeist since the beginning, but he gradually started to care about her & learned to accept who she is and accepted that she is a changed person. I think it was inevitable that Nick and Adalind fell in love with each other, even after Adalind got her Hexenbeist powers back his feelings for Adalind did not change & they both would do anything to protect each other & their son, that's true love. Some skeptics might say that the only reason Nadalind became a couple was because of their son, but I disagree, yes Kelly was what brought them together at first, but it was Nadalind's love for each other that made them STAY together. If Nadalind did not love each other, then they would've just continued co-parenting their son, you don't have to be with someone in order to raise a child together, and no couple would stay together for 20+ years if they did not love each other. I'm not surprised that Nick & Adalind got married & even after 20+ years later, Nadalind are still happily married & they raised their kids together to follow in their footsteps. In the end Nadalind stayed together mainly because they genuinely fell in love with each other, and not just because they have a son together.

Then when she lost her powers cause of nick they abandoned her and made her resent nick. Not to mention when they all pretended to be cool with her and then stole her daughter from her for years. She did make dumb decisions out of impulse and resentment however I can’t really even recall her straight up killing anyone in cold blood.
      Juliette was so out of line and harsh even having nicks mom betrayed and killed, Destroying centuries of Grimm history, killing countless ppl, emotionally and physically abusing nick constantly and then making him miserable when she lost her memory and she was pretty mean to him even before all the Wesen stuff.

    There's a saying that love is strange. Nick and Adalind are an unusual couple. A Grimm and a Hexenbiest , 2 former enemies are now parents and lovers. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

    It’s kinda crazy that he had better on screen chemistry than with his actual girlfriend is kinda crazy. I’m not sure if that’s due to the quality of acting or the fact they’d already been together a while irl.

    i like the compilation for season 5. I wish there was more moments of them but it was nice to see them together. This was the best part of season 5 for me. The main story was kind of meh.

    I really liked how the ship began to get the pieces together to float. I did like Juliette and Nick as a couple before she betrayed his mom. But after it and how Adalind and Nick started getting closer, I was really fearing that she would die at some point and Nick would go back with Juliette.
    That didn't happene, right? Cause I haven't finished it yet.

      It's crazy how quickly she knew. But I agree, she knew right away. I gimp it's because she hadn't loved anyone before until her kids. Them suddenly she finds herself caring about Nick just as deeply and so she just knew

    she is so much better suited for him then Julliete ever was. (whos character was written that she was a vile lying cheating hexenbeast even before she became a true hexenbeast...)

    I didn't like the scene where Juliet threatened Adaline. Knowing that she had become a Hexenbeast again “If you hurt Nick. I will come back and kill you.” What right did Juliet have to say this? Juliet does bad things. How much with Nick? But now I'm back to worrying. 7:31
