Ren needs money just like everyone else. It costs him £5-6K a month on Pills just to stay alive. He's the least materialistic Artist out there. A saying of his is 'A rising tide lifts all Ships' - he can use his success to help those around him, he's just bought his Mum a plot of land. Following his best friend Joe unaliving himself, he bought Joes mother a Caravan & did a Fundraiser for the Lifeboat Charity who helped search for him, which raised £21K. He's also become a voice for the voiceless.
He also just sunk 1/5 of everything he has to establish a health resource center in Brighton for the chronically ill, offering therapies he is finding helpful at low or no cost, and providing info and support for the ill, with plans to go global if it is viable. 😊
If you can't figure out if you like Ren, can I recommend his 1 million subscriber speech? I love his art, but I'm obsessed with his heart. He's just a breath of fresh air in today's world, worth supporting as a human even if you aren't a fan of all of his music. Heck, Michelle Show (his biggest hater) is now a low key fan haha. Oh, and yes he's making money, but instead of cars and fancy houses he just invested in a clinic for chronically ill people who can be around others who understand and have access to more organic things that helped him that hospitals don't offer.
He says we're all part of the game. He acknowledges that includes himself. It's opening a conversation to what drives greed and why the accumulation of money has become the main goal instead of a means of trade and ensure you live a comfortable life.
Ren wants his art to be seen for sure and the more people see it, the more his message is spread. The difference is that money is not the "why" he's doing it. Where many artists and people work for the money and to get more and more. Too many hurt people because of what money does to them. Ren has turned down deals and money because his art and the message he really wants people to hear is much more important to him. Money is necessary to live. Living for money isn't. His song Money Ties explains it easier. He raps and doesn't off himself 🤣. Ren suffered a lot in his life from his undiagnosed illness, Lyme Disease that went on and kept getting worse for 8 years. Please watch Ren's 1 million subscriber defining success video. It's short. You'll understand Ren a lot more and things will make more sense. 😊💗 💚 💜
In Money Ties he says that money makes a sick boy sicker. Ren is using his money for a center in the UK for people who have autoimmune, Lyme disease, etc. so people can get correct medical diagnoses and prompt treatment. He doesn’t want anyone to suffer as he did trying to get help, getting mis-diagnosed and getting the wrong treatments for years. I understand that in the past, after his Lyme disease was finally diagnosed, Ren used the money he made from his music to pay for his complex medical treatment. This included special intensive treatments in Canada, where he was able to produce a few videos in the moments he was feeling a little better.
Seriously dude don’t worry about not picking up on everything the first time u hear his songs. No matter what anyone says we were all like that. We’ve all probably heard his songs 100 times and are still finding things out
He's speaking on GREED (mostly)...there's a BIG difference between success and simple GREED. I think you say those things because you haven't gotten to know him as a human being AND you're coming into his story WAY LATE. Ren is an INDEPENDENT artist 100% and has only known this success for the past few years. He SHARES HIS WEALTH ....FACTS. He doesn't hoard it. If you're interested, watch his video he put out when he finally hit 1 million subs. This man paid his dues. He wasn't born wealthy or even middle class. Anyway. There's much more to this man and his art. Your audio had that feed back again for the video. I strongly suggest headphones. Oh, and I sub'd lol.
Your buddy makes good points. I think RENs message is it’s all about using your (fame) to spread love and to help people and then he uses his wealth to help and employ all his friends and gives to charities.
Everything is relevant if we as a whole are to grow and Ren is one of those rare sparks that can reach an audience from 8 to 80, he himself said that becoming famous gives him a responsibility to give from genuine places, there's not many like Ren we need these sparks to survive, peace
Ren is talking about the negative side of the american dream. Do whatever it takes to get to the top, just wanting more and more and not caring who hurt along the way. It shows the journey from innocents to corruption and how influences in your life (Jimmys Father) can change your path. Also, Ren doesnt think there is anything wrong with money and fame..hes talking about this particular story. Its what you do with that money and fame.
It’s not about the American dream. That’s far too generalized. It’s more about the elite, whole world corruption and whole world greed. The American dream is the idea that anyone can achieve a level of success with hard work and determination. Success is a term that is subject to interpretation. I am a successful husband, father, home owner. I am not rich, I am content. I have fulfilled my goal of achieving the American dream.
Ren doesn't have an issue with money or even power. It's when these things cause suffering and greed is the root of all evil there. He also includes himself in this critique. The unaliving though, is really just metaphors for leaving the money game or killing off the money game. And the money bags on the head represent being blinded to being a player in the game. That's my take on it anyway Loved this reaction. You were really drawn in. I think story telling Ren might be for you. You shih consider the tailed.of Jenny and Screech. Also Ren has lost close friends and at least one by their own hand. I suggest watching his chapters (on his RenMakesStuff channels. There are 8 chapters but he tells you his story. It may help give a lot of context to his music for you.
This was a life story about a boy named Jimmy. There are basically two themes that interact. First Jimmy is talentaed, creates a great deal of wealth, but it is never enough. He ultimately descends into illegal activities to make even more money. Second, Jimmy's father pushes him to make more wealth and only that. There is no middle of the road; Jimmy learns that pleasing his father is his primary goal. When the father dies, Jimmy descends into his illegal activities, ultimately leading to his paraplegic state and suicide. Ren preaches that GREED is the root of evil. Ren does not state that money is the problem or that making money is wrong. It is all about GREED. This was an insanely straight forward story and very easy to understand. The visuals were on point and the production flawless. Ren directed all of this and created virtually everything. He is pretty darn amazing.
❤❤❤ Yes Ren believes we NEED a new system. Ours is corrupt and controlled by greed, with peoples health and welfare not even considered. People that make you think are great. For this one, we need to be conscious of what our children are told, taught, and believe regarding what is really important. The constant persuit of more than we actually need and valuing the wrong type of people or lifestyle is killing our societies and driving us further apart. Money 💰 bag is that Money is blinding us.
The issue isn’t money rather the love of money. Greed hurts society and is ultimately unsatisfying. He also says he and all of us are also part of this. The hoods make it universal not any one specific person and also shows we are blind to what is happening. And I do think if ren had 10 views he’d still make music. It’s just in him. And he was on here a long time with not a huge following. Still he continued. All 3 videos are about not taking more than you need, not being greedy. And money can be used for good. I have a nonprofit to help with housing insecurity. As mentioned above ren just announced a wellness center he will be part of for people with chronic illnesses to receive helpful treatments and be able to bond with each other. Also sound was great! Thanks for sticking with these!
Money and fame are a means to an end for Ren. He has a message he wants to spread about society, the future, mental health and chronic illness. He needs that money and fame to reach a wider audience. He also is aware that he is as much a part of the system, a part of the "money game" as most of us are. If you want to know more about where he is coming from, watch his video about reaching 1000000 TH-cam subscribers.
Ren also acknowdges that he is part of the money game.. not only in this song ("an exaggerated version of me"), but also in the other 2 ("We're all part of this old money game"), and in sick boi ("because I'm doing the same"). He is pretty open about the fact that there is a certain level of hypocrisy in what ge talks about, but at the same time, his big message is about people who put their hand inside the cookie jar and take more than they need. I recommend- like others have- that you watch his 1 million subscribers video. And I can see youre pretty confused about *who* he is, so i really recommended in your own time to watch his chapters 1-6 where you get to know him a lot more.
This is an award winning video btw so yeah it is like a movie. We are all part of the money game but we peasants are in service to the billionaires. Billionaires should pay more in taxes bc they simply have more and we could feed everyone, house everyone, but billionaires bought the House, Senate and Presidency this time bc they don’t want to pay taxes. They would still be billionaires if they paid more but they’re greedy. Believing somehow that the almighty dollar is more important than people. Until we “poors” stand together and make them pay their fair share of taxes and raise minimum wage to the point that anyone working 40hrs a week can live bc of you raise minimum wage all people will make more money. Meanwhile the working class has more to fear from being replaced by a machine than immigrants. They don’t believe that though. I wrote a book but basically greed is bad for society, people should be more important than profits but right now the millionaires and billionaires just want their share and ours too. 🤷🏼♀️ sorry I ramble. Hopefully it makes sense.
Ren does have a way of scrambling brains 😅. You're doing good keeping up though, enjoy your reactions. Please watch his 1M Subscribers video. It'll show the type of human being he is and why we love and respect him so much💜
Ren is not opposed to capitalism. He touched on this subject and elaborated on his stance in a livestream. I can't remember which. If I remember (and understood) correctly the problem isn't money - it's what we do with it. Are you trying to build up something that services and benefits humanity or just you? Unchecked capitalism where some people hoard all the fucking money benefits who and what exactly?
You might like Ren’s lyric/visualizer videos from several years ago. Humble, Believe, Hold On, etc. The moneybag heads might represent how people are blinded by the love of money. You will like his recent Money Ties. It is more hopeful and not so emotionally jolting.
Well compared to P-Daddy,Kendrick,Eminem,and Snoop Dog he is poor and if you stopped 100 people randomly on the street and asked them, you probably wont find any of them who has heard of him but ask them about have they heard of Snoop Dog and more than 1/2 will have at least heard of him and most would recognize his picture as someone famous even if they couldnt put a name to his face
Dude take no notice of the naysayers, most people who are watching these reactions have seen these videos dozens if not hundreds of times and i can guarantee you none of them picked everything up first time around , most of ren's fans will help you figure things out if you are unsure of anything , all you have to do is ask and they will explain or give their take on whatever it is , just ignore the knockers
I don't think the hoods are money bags at all. Some people say that and it's their interpretation. The hoods are showing that we stay blind and ignore what's going on around us as the greed from those in power play us. Audio was better in part 2, but it was fine. Thanks for caring 🥰
