This is easily the best flight video I have ever seen. I must confess that I watched all 91 minutes of this. I live in Los Angeles and have made this same transpolar crossing from Europe and Asia to LAX five times and enjoyed reliving many of my own experiences - the ice sheet melting over Hudson Bay; the fields of northwestern France followed by the English Channel; the Rocky, Wasatch and San Bernardino Mountains. Part of what kept me riveted was the detailed tour of the airport terminals. The identification of other aircraft types complete with flight information is masterful. Perhaps some type of Flight Tracker app was used on the I-Phone? The lightning strike is brilliant luck. And the clarity of the Sony hand held camera with seemingly no shaking of the hand is a marvel. The zoom shots of scenery, such as the airport with the small city and icy river in southern Canada or the northern US, all convey the photographer's love of the wonders of flight. A strong thumbs up for a video extremely well done!

I love airports in the evening, when the sun goes down and the golden light shines through the windows, while you wait for your flight with a nice little sandwich and a coffee ....but when it gets dark the real magic starts with all the lights
I recently saw pictures of the first or the second A380 delivered to Singapore Airways back in 2007. Those two planes were being shredded to bits... I literally wept when seeing that. A masterpiece diced because some idiots don't understand how to make this aircraft profitable ( in the long run ).. I have rarely been that hurt when seeing a perfectly good airplane with at least 15 years of flight potential left being destroyed in such a despicable way. At least, Lufthansa's A380s are being carefully stored away... and as to Air France, it looks like 5 will be destroyed too. Shame on these people..

The Airbus A380 really is a masterpiece of European aviation engineering. What a pity it came in 2005, and not 1990 when it would have thrived alongside the Boeing 747-400 at the time.

Etant handicapé, je remarque qu'il y a quand même des difficultés pour l'embarquement et le débarquement. At 1:14:34 there’s the great In ‘N Out Burger on Sepulveda Blvd where I go when traveling through LAX to get my burger fix and watch the planes landing on runway 24R. I was there September 4 en route to Maui and videoed an A380 on final over my head. Best video of an airliner I’ve gotten. Kudos to you!!

Flying back to SFO from Beijing 10 years ago, 3 back seats were Empty! I had all 3 to myself to snooze all the way back. Plus I got to see closeup what it looks like when the hot exhaust hits -40 degree air flying over the Bering Straights at about 38,000 feet. Pure white. Never got to see that closeup before. Just from the ground.

Nice memories of SFO to CDG Air France flight in '12 on a 777 I think. Enjoyed the Arctic too! Caught a glimpse of a cute English village as the plane was starting to descend. Nothing but white glare over Ireland. Then an old 747 on the way back that didn't even have screens!

J'ai pris 3x L'A380 pour les US, une fois a l'allée pour aller à San Francisco et deux fois pour NY allée retour tout ça de CDG aussi, la route arctique est magnifique avec ces blocs de glaces que l'on voit, j'ai aussi pris de nombreuses photos ! At 1:14:34 there’s the great In ‘N Out Burger on Sepulveda Blvd where I go when traveling through LAX to get my burger fix and watch the planes landing on runway 24R.
I was there September 4 en route to Maui and videoed an A380 on final over my head. Best video of an airliner I’ve gotten. Kudos to you!!

Flying back to SFO from Beijing 10 years ago, 3 back seats were Empty! I had all 3 to myself to snooze all the way back. Plus I got to see closeup what it looks like when the hot exhaust hits -40 degree air flying over the Bering Straights at about 38,000 feet. Pure white. Never got to see that closeup before. Just from the ground.

Très intéressant. Excellent! J'ai vu la vidéo sur ma TV et c'était presque comme en direct. L'ambiance dans les aéroports je connais vu que je voyage tous les ans vers le Brésil.
Franchement si je devais noter ce trip report sur 20 ça serait un bon 20/20 vraiment des images incroyables et un trip très complet!!! Continue comme ça, c’est vraiment bien !

Nice memories of SFO to CDG Air France flight in '12 on a 777 I think. Enjoyed the Arctic too! Caught a glimpse of a cute English village as the plane was starting to descend. Nothing but white glare over Ireland. Then an old 747 on the way back that didn't even have screens!
Le commencement avec les moments dans l'aéroport sont géniaux ! C'est si apaisant, rien de super flux juste le calme de l'aéroport et des avions que l'on voit par les grandes vitres !
J'ai pris 3x L'A380 pour les US, une fois a l'allée pour aller à San Francisco et deux fois pour NY allée retour tout ça de CDG aussi, la route arctique est magnifique avec ces blocs de glaces que l'on voit, j'ai aussi pris de nombreuses photos ! Vraiment superbe, vous gagnez une abonnée !
