      @ If they’re not then explain why, since the charges landed, they’ve extended Pep for 2 years at £40m cost, built a new stand and hotel for £300m, spent £150m in transfers just this window and spent £240m extending Haaland for 115 months (😂).
      If they were guilty all along all this would be financial suicide.
      I’ll wait…

      @@stephenv5521It’s not “everyone” it’s bitter United-Liverpool-Arsenal fans who have seen City win everything that are bitter and using this case to cope.
      The report will categorically exonerate City and you’ll be screaming “cheats” like a lunatic waving his arms at the sun.
      I work in Manchester City Centre, and there’s a West Ham fan who’s moved up here and 2 Bolton fans… all 3 don’t think we’re guilty and think it’s a witch hunt pushed by those three red clubs.

    They've gotten away with it, only thing that makes sense. Would explain why the fa haven't done any charges against the other clubs this year and may explain the current actions of levy, throwing his toys out the pram

      ​@@stephenv5521 The big clubs of the 80s turned it into a league where it was all about buying success. That's what they wanted; a closed shop. They just got angry that someone came along, did it better than them, and gatecrashed their little party. Which is why none of the proposed rules have ever come close to actually evening anything out, because anything that makes it fair would also remove Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool's advantage over the likes of Fulham, Brighton and West Ham. And fair competition is the last thing they want.

      @@stephenv5521City have spent less money than United, Chelsea and Arsenal over the last 10 years, and Liverpool, Spurs, Everton, Forest and Villa over the last 5 years.
      If City’s success is “bought” then wtf are those clubs doing, buying failure 😂?
      Also, it’s not a country, Mansour is a junior royal who’s bought City with his private wealth fund.
      He also owned a stake in Barclays and nobody ever called that “state owned” at the time.

      ​@joepiekl That is incorrect, more teams won trophies in the 80s and 90s in fact, since City and Chelsea started cheating the fact is trophies have been won by LESS different teams, the proof is in the numbers, so that is the opposite of your argument and the league is less competitive due to the artificial non sporting growth of 2 fake clubs.

    Dear silly people and 486 subs please do your research instead of taking a newspaper report and just running with it.
    how can things planned before man city charges make it that Man City have got away with the charges.
    1 the charges feb 2023
    2 coop live construction started 2020 3 years before the charges
    3 expansion plans submitted april 2023 do you think these take a couple months to plan no they takes months and months so well before the charges
    4 contract can be any length as long as the money you bought the player for is paid in 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years. Also Haaland was a renewel
    5 concentrate on your dire club your competing to stay out of the relegation zone jeez.

      @ It’s reported that they don’t and why would they extend Haaland now? His contract isn’t running out right now, they literally could have waited for the result which is coming in the next few weeks.
      They’ve done it now for 115 months to signal they’ve won.
      Marmoush is one of the most in form strikers in Europe and is only 25 - he ain’t joining City if they’re about to face significant penalties.
      And what about the new stand and hotel? That doesn’t have a clause to demolish itself 😂

    As a Magpie, any precident set by City or Chelsea is fine by me. Will legally make catching up easier, not that FFP/PSR was a full problem after 1st July. Had the money to try and blow on Guéhi at the least towards the end, as I heard it on a 2nd player for roughly the same.
    Regardless, FFP and PSR are choking the league.
