What kind of daily mpg are we seeing from a stage 2 550i? Trying to decide if I should pull the trigger as my daily over a G30 540i
if i had the choice id buy the 550i, it would get comparable economy to the 6 banger until you put your foot into it but god dam what a thrill it would be
I see you have the LED and Executive package. Does your 550i also have the Dynamic Handling Package?? If so, what’s your take on it??
I actually have a ‘15 with the DHP package, sadly xenon lights though haha. When I was crossshopping 550is, I drove one with and without the DHP package, and it definitely improves the car’s handling and maneuverability between modes, unsure or not if it adds it but, my car also features Comfoft+ as well. The Non-DHP car felt less inspiring and confidence inspiring by far. Unsure though how it would affect lowering the car and other things, but I plan to just stick with stock ride height before I look into it
@@xellium5445 I’m currently shopping for a 550i xDrive LCI. I test drove one back in the summer with no DHP. It wasn’t bad but I definitely felt the weight around corners. Didn’t bother me but I couldn’t ignore it.
Just recently test drove one with LED lights, Exec Pkge, DHP. It took the corners like it was on rails. I was impressed by how nimble it felt. I was like “yeah I need all these option!!” I need the LED lights bc they literally make the whole car look newer. I need the Head up display bc why not😂 DHP is required at this point. I couldn’t believe that big German U-boat taking them turns like that😂.
PS: Also I think you can swap out your HIDs for LEDs but you have to code the car to let the computer know.
@@AYO_KO I’ve looked into some aftermarket LED lights and I may pull the trigger on some in the future, but like you said a lot of coding is required on LCI cars for fitting them. I actually do have a pretty well optioned 550i in spite of the LED lights which is something I would’ve loved, I have everything optioned out in the interior department including leather dash + B&O, just no rear climate or rear heated seats/heated steering wheel as it’s a Texas car. I’m tuned right now on JB4, and am getting a BM3 soon to explore stacked tune options there, you’d love it with the DHP though I can guarantee it
@@xellium5445 at this point, I have to cop one with the DHP. It’s a must have. I got online carts with Catless Downpipes and front facing cold air intakes waiting for me too😂. I wanna get tune by Heatsync, I think their name is. They specialize in N63 platforms.
As for the LED upgrade. Look for a guy on TH-cam, I forget his name. But he has a 535i M sport LCI. He worked with a company that provided and coded his LED lights via remote access. I’m pretty sure that’s what he did lol. I was watching to see if it’s something I’d do in case the one I buy doesn’t have, but I was like yea I’ll just look for one already LED equipped. Literally every car except for maybe 1, equipped with DHP, also has LEDs and Exec Pkg equipped. Turns out people will pay $3k for upgraded speakers, no offense, but not $3500 for upgraded handling.
But idk how you even found a Bang & Olufsen equipped car. I’m looking at all executive package cars and they all have dirty ass harmen karden bs

Milage? Hows the engine doing? I wanna get a 2015 and newer 550i, but the engine has gotten so much bad rep I dunno.
Currently at 90k miles right now. Engine has been doing me well and I've been keeping up on my maintenance. The N63TU (2014-2016 5 series) is not an unreliable engine. The N63 (2011-2013 5 series) engine is a whole different thing with a lot of nightmare stories.

@@shy550i I just bought a 2012. I’m at 75k so far so good. I have 3 ghost codes that I’m Getting read on Friday. Hopefully they will be nothing at all and I will get to keep this thing. I would love to do catless Downpipes and resonator delete with a tune at some point I just don’t want a nightmare story
