I'm not even a modder, this is just incredibly fascinating to me. Even though I'll never do any of this, when I play Skyrim, I have an increased respect for the designers. :D
These tutorials do a good job. They are get you started, though, not tell you everything. I learned more myself after watching the videos, but scripting is still hard.

Thanks, Just did the CreationKit tutorial (Radiant Quest Ready)..very cool...so you set a location for the external part and an encounter zone for the internal part. Can't wait to start screwing with the Papyrus scripting..this is alot easier to figure out then the Elder Scrolls Construction Kit. Was completely lost with that thing.
@StefComplex137 Here is what you do: On the "Cell View" box, right click on your cell and then click on "edit" from the pop up box. A new window will open named "Cell". Click the "Interior Data" tab at the top of this window and in the first box of this new window is where you rename your cell from "marker storage unit" to "Stef's Complex 137" or whatever.
This may help as a shortcut for making parts for your own mod. If you want to know how objects work together and how to put them in your own mod, go into tamriel and look for what you want to add to your mod. Now you can deconstruct it to see how it work or just copy and paste it into your mod, easy.
When you load your game, go to data files, and then click all the plugins you want to load into your game. And that's how you get your creations in your game. :)
I know these guys are working on the DLC or potentially Fallout 4/Elder Scrolls VI... But PLEASE DO MORE VIDS! -AI, -Radient Quests, -World Areas, -Writing a quest, -Recording audio + various more.
@GrandHighGamer I know. I've read a LOT of it and it's great they documented it so well and easy, but I still find the videos easier to follow. I don't want to script anyway, shouldn't writing a quest be somewhat available through the tools alone?
@Shawkab I have had the same trouble with LOD, but going through each individual exterior object and clicking the "is full LOD" box has seemed to fix this.
my only problem is with hearthfires, i'm trying to edit the lakeview exterior but when i open the game the terrain is going through the inside of the house, as if the hearthfires esp is off
@MrTimCreed It's because Bethesda used '3, -11' as a starting point on the Wiki site. Other TH-camrs probably looked there before making their videos aswell. Also, it's close to Riverwood and everyone loves Riverwood :D
okay 1st, we need season 2:advanced tutorial. 2nd. is it possible you could elaborate more on doing dialogue and quests. i know we have that written online, but is it possible a video could be made for it,
@maximalGames Items are super easy to learn just by duplicating existing ones. For quests that probably involves Papyrus scripting so the text tutorials on creationkit are probably a better idea. That's the kind of thing a video tutorial would be really bad at.
I know Im way late to the party but I followed along the entire tutorial multiple times and for that time that I decided to give it a true go, everything went smoothly until this part. i was able to place all my doors with the teleports and my map marker etc., but my problem is that it just doesnt show up in my game. I place a house outside of Whiterun, knowing where I needed to go to find it and it wasn't there. the odd thing is that my map marker appears on my map and I can fast travel to it and when I do my house is there, but have of the assets of the main game are gone, eg. any type of plants and flowers as are most of the rock formations around Whiterun. I fast traveled away and went to find the house again but to no avail. So I tried fast traveling to it again but I had the same problem. I tinkered with the esm load order and that didnt seem to help either. Anyone out there have any kind of suggestion for me?
How come when i hold the shift key to rotate, when im in tamriel, it glitches, and flys away from the place I was at? It doesn't rotate around the CELL, it sinks under the world, and rotates all around Tamriel. . .
x = east and west axis and y = north and south axis. I don't know how to tell where you are when you are in the game - I just experiment in the creation kit with filling in different x,y values. If you know Skyrim will enough, you can get to where you want to be by going to a loc and scrolling back to see a larger view.
Okay so I finished my mod and everything. But how do I actually get the file? Because I use Nexus Mod Manager, and steam isn't connected with it. and I cant just randomly put the mod on Nexus. I need to manually do it with the mod file. So how do I get it?
Can someone assist me? I have a door connecting to a different part of the dungeon, but the name shows up as marker storage unit when I go through it in game. Thanks.
My Tamriel looks different than yours. I don't have that big rock wall that you have. Edit: I had to disable the update. Why is the rock face gone in the update?
what does the x and y in the cell view actually mean? because, what if i don't want my... whatever it is that i have, to be at that point near riverwood? and how do i know what number is what locaton?

also optimization, duplicating the door way and hide most of it on the mountain doesn't feel right, a way of cut out all that extra meshes hidden maybe?
hey need help here if anyone can. so i made an dwemer castle in blackreach by taking over the city in the middle of it and on the lookout area accessed via lift in the hall of rumination i made an entrance to a palace, the main cell of which is a duplicate and altered version of Understone keep from markarth, any way i believe i connected the loaddoors correctly as i am able to enter my cell without problem by activating the door, however apon attempting to leave my cell by activating the door
@BethesdaGameStudios A lot of users on the forums have had an issue where static objects beyond a certain size, like those nordic pieces, placed by a mod do not show up in exteriors. Any fix?
Hello I have placed my dungeon at that location I want, I have connected it to the world, but when I stand in front of it I can only see the door?? What is wrong? Where is the exterior cells? Where is my entrance? I can only see the door. Whats wrong?
appartly it only posted the first half of my message. anyway apon attempting to exit my cell back into blackreach it crashes to desktop. iv tryed redoing and repositioning the door but it still crashes to desktop 100% of the time i activate the door from inside my cell. does anyone know how i can fix this?
oh i knew that, i was just complimenting u. actually!!!!! i was trying to change the colour on gems but they have no texture, so i have to edit the mesh, what program would u use, cuz the programs ive tried never seem to help, ex. they cant recognize the mesh file and dont show up on loading screens, do i need some kind of plugin or sumdin?

When I go into the game to test the door, I can use them just fine, but my follower stays outside. I double checked my navmesh and it seems to be extended far enough under the door. Anyone have a solution to this problem?

I added the mod "Creation Kit DLC master file load fix". It doesn't fix the problem completely but it doesn't crash so much anymore. Good luck!

@RubyKiller77 I had the same problem with some brushes... try to use other brushes and then take your favourite again. That should fix it.

does anyone of you guys know how I can delete the landscape-bushes / grass ?
Cause when I flat a terrain the bushes are flying in the air.

@SertoriusBattleBorn That could have a big performance penalty, so it isn't recommended to do that on too many objects.

because its more than one cell and its better to click on one thing in the cell then rotating
