X Plane 11 : Carenado Beech 1900D : Tutorial 1 Startup

  • Having looked at the various systems on the Beech 1900D, we now start the aircraft, and prepare it to taxi to the active runway.
    Note: The centre bus and the external power bus incorrectly display zero volts. This may change as the aircraft is updated. The engine anti-ice vanes are most likely extended on the ground to inhibit ingestion of debris.

    And " Cabin pressure
    control system of Beechcraft 1900D" with location

      The B200 videos cover the same ground. I don't think there's enough difference in them to justify a series.

    Hi guys, I think there is a bug in the BUS SENSE spring loaded switch. When you put this on TEST position the L & R GEN TIE OPEN & BATT TIE OPEN must be ILLUMINATED in the lower anunciators panel until is in RESET POSITION. You can check this in the FLIGHT SAFETY 1900 manual (Section 2-9). This is because a major current is sended to the HEDs and both GEN TIES turns to open position not allowing this current passing through them. Did I explain myself?

      Carenado aircraft don't have that level of detail, though their 340 seems more detailed than usual.

      @@supanova88 Of course you are right, that`s why I like the Flight1 B200, almost everything seems to be simulated. I don't like that much the way the GPS and RADAR are in the panel, I have seem many 1900D cockpit pictures (even I have a friend who flys one with ProLine21) but I couldn`t find any with the carenado configuration. It would be better the original order with one or two 430, something like that... ...But for some reason I can`t stop fly this model anyways :)

    Do we have to activate the fuel boost pumps before starting engines ?

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would imagine as it's a Carenado aircraft that you don't.

    Thank you, very nice video. Do you have this checklist written? or you follow the one from the Carenado manual?
    Thanks

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have a complete checklist at this time. I expect to put one up when I've completed the tutorial series. The Carenado checklist has several issues which makes it unuseable for me.

    Hi Supanova great tutorial I have been following a few of yours now but I can not find Part 2 did you do one for the FMC and Decent at all. Thank you

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think there was a lot of demand for a series from first video performance. The aircraft also had issues with landing which also might have been a factor in not continuing the series.

      @@supanova88 That's a shame I was having a go at your tutorial for the Dash 8 Q400 but was having issues with starting Engine 1 which I have E Mailed FlyJSim about so was trying to get to grips with the Beech 1900D. Are you considering doing another one for the Beech 1900 for the take off and landing at all? Your tutorials have helped me enormously as I am quite new to Flight Simming.

      @supanova88  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 1900 operates similarly to the King Air B200. That tutorial series should put you in the ballpark for the 1900. When I last looked at it the 1900 fell out of the sky on approach, but I assume that behaviour has now been fixed. The Dash 8 has been broken in one way or another for some time.

      supanova Thank you I'll have a look at that, did you do those tutorials? Thank you for taking the time to do them all, they are all so very useful and i appreciate it, and thank you for taking the time to reply to my messages. Dave

    Hi. Do you need Xplane 11 to run this game? And What are some other minimum equipment and/or software that you need to run this simulator ? Thanks in advance.

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you need X-Plane 11, and whatever peripherals you prefer, with a joystick with twist rudder and slider for throttle probably as minimum.

    Nice movie I wonder if to buy this plane but I have some doubts because this is carenado. What about of depth system in this plane? how are simulate engine failures?

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tried an engine failure, but I wouldn't expect more than the basics. The system modelling on the B1900D seems a little bit better than the B200, but not by a huge amount.

    • @JetfighterPL
      @JetfighterPL 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You right - but I hink that I will give chance this plane when it get lower price. Now I have Do 228 and I`m little dissappointed, plane looks great but system is lack. Cheers from Poland

      One more question though. As I was flying I appareantly depleted my left tank so my left engine stopped. Does the fuel transfer on the panel left work? It didn't seem to work for me...

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe it does. Were the transfer pumps set to on or auto?

    Hi, thank you for your videos. I spend many hours just wathing the F1 B200 tutorial.
    About the B1900D could you please explain how to do this (slaving compass/cage/un-cage gyros):
    ///
    * 10. Standby Attitude Indicator & Copilot’s Electronic Altimeter (if installed)
    - CHECK NOTE When uncaging gyro, avoid snapping knob against indicator. When caging, use minimum amount of force. f. Cage Knob
    PULL AND ROTATE Clockwise To Cage. OFF Flag In View
    ///
    I find Carenado B1900D a little different of some others like F1 B200 with Garmin 1000 so I'm having problems about how or where to press to slave compass, where to cage/uncage gyros.. ...what that means??.
    I really apreciate some help with this.
    Thank you

    • @supanova88
      @supanova88  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think you need to spend too much time on that. That will most likely not be simulated on a Carenado aircraft. You should however have a button or key assigned to "vacuum DG sync to magnetic north", where DG is the directional gyroscope.

      @@supanova88 Thank you, that's what I thought since the avionics are not like a regular 1900D. I've had read the Flight Safety manual to undertand this point and even the way how electrical systems works, I've had seen your videos too.. ....and again, thank you.
