    Judging from the sound of the sizzle the pan wasn't that 'hot temp'; more like medimum-ish. Also no gray area-very nice job!

    It looks a little over cooked, like almost med to med well. Even with reverse sear u need rest it. You can't bring a steak to med rare temp in the oven, then put it a screaming hot pan. Or ur gonna over cook it, esp a reg thickness steak. This is something u should point out, because the average home cook would prob end up with well done.
