- Those in the “Torah Community” are almost always familiar with the tassels (Hebrew, tzitzit), but not many are familiar with the phylacteries (also called tefillin). What are they, what are they based upon (in Scripture) and should we wear them? This lesson tackles all of that and looks at some archeological evidence towards the end.
Thank you for this, for sharing/teaching brother Matthew. Shalom
Thank you for sharing. A very needed discussion.I see in the LXX it is much more clear. Deuteronomy 11:18
"And ye shall store these words in your heart and in your soul, and ye shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and it shall be fixed before your eyes."
This describes them being like a bracelet, worn everyday on the arm.
A very easy command to follow.
You notice the Greek does not mention a forehead box...
Brother Matthew, this was an excellent lesson.

I have really been enjoying this teaching. Thank you brother Matthew, may Yah bless and keep you and your family ❤🙏🙏🔥
I appreciate the encouragement! 😊
Finally someone who expounded on my very same conclusion.
Ohhhhh I've definitely been waiting on this
Awesomely taught, Brother Matthew!
HalleluYAH ❤️🙏🏻
Interestingly Google translates your comment to Hallelujah.
We are amongst babylon.
Well presented brother Matthew. Blessings!🕊🙏
I want/need to learn how to do my own tzitzit.😊
Lovely message
BUENO DIA BROTHER MATTHEW, FAMILIA, FRIENDS, TORAH LOVERS, SHALOM
Beautiful
Shalom Matthew
Why would you not bind scripture upon yourself all day whilst you are awake and able to fulfil or not fulfil mitzvot?
If a literal application is required and this is a mitzvah equal to tzitzit or eating clean why would it be acceptable only to bind Torah sometimes?

I don’t see a time limit on it so long as it’s done once a day. Using you example of eating clean animals, that doesn’t mean we have to eat meat even every day. With Tzitzit the command would be when you wear clothes/tunic.
@@emjmnc Interesting, why once a day? Why not once a week?
I guess the key may be to understand וְהָי֥וּ in that pasuk. I would also be genuinely interested if you hold the same opinion regarding Shemot 13 9…

Yes ! 👍
What are phylacteries?
Small square leather boxes containing portions of scripture. Orthodox jewish men wear them during prayer. One strapped to the arm the other on the forehead
I would recommend that you watch the video. Very well ppresented.😊
try google !
@@billcradic1528 you couldn't just answer the question? 🙄
@DonnyBrisco Yes, I could have. But then, I would be depriving the OP from enjoying and learning from a well presented instruction.
if you feel lead to
I know this.
if you truly love YHWH.
It would be a badge of honor.
Fascinating what people do to DRAW ATTENTION TO THEMSELVES, which is all this is about. I'm glad JESUS explained this far better in Person, "But you, when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Matt 6:6
In order to understand the holy scriptures you must first understand metaphors allegories poetry and Aramaic idioms
Blood = Is An Aramaic metaphor for ➡️ Suffering, not actual bleeding blood 🙏
