Inside SoFi in 4K: VIP 132 SEATS and SOFI SOCIAL CLUB for Rams vs. Chargers | Preseason 8/17/24

- Check out how close you can get to the field, the players, and the action when you have VIP seats at SoFi Stadium! For this preseason game the Chargers were the home team, so we decided to buy special tickets and treat ourselves so we could see our Rams play again. The 2024 home opener for the Rams vs. the 49ers isn’t until September 22, and we couldn’t wait that long in between games!
We bought tickets to Owners Club 132, but for reasons I still don’t understand and I am going to get to the bottom of, for this Chargers home game we were seated in VIP 132, Row 18. We were told that if it was a Rams home game we would have been seated in the Owners Club, but for Chargers home games those seats don't exist (?!). Ticketmaster sold us those seats! Section VIP 132 still has amazing seats, but this was absolutely not what was included in the Ticketmaster listing or noted on the tickets themselves (or what I paid for, grrrrr). We made the best of it and on Monday I'm going to be making inquiries. Help a sister out! Do you know anyone at SoFi Stadium, the Chargers, or Ticketmaster who can assist? I'd love a phone number or email address.
The seats in VIP Section 132 offer access to the SoFi Social Club, which is an indoor/outdoor club space with all-inclusive food and beverages, including beer, some wine, and some liquor/cocktails. If you want to have fancier wines or extra premium spirits, you will need to pay out of pocket for that. The outdoor patio in the club is at field level, and it’s quite large so it can accommodate a good number of fans. Before and after the game, a ton of Rams players came over to sign autographs and chat. In the video thumbnail, you can see John Johnson III having a conversation with a Rams fan! Note that the Rams, as the primary tenant of SoFi Stadium, always have their sideline on the east side of the stadium, no matter if it's a home game or an away game for them. The Chargers always have their sideline on the west side of the stadium. This way, both teams can keep their locker rooms and equipment in the same place throughout the season.
Despite the ticket snafu, these VIP seats in Section 132 offered an excellent experience. It was a fantastic way to watch all of the action from our super comfortable padded seats and from field level in the SoFi Social Club. And the Rams won, 13-9!

Too bad because we would’ve made it to SoFi a lot sooner! The only time I’ve ever seen traffic stopped like that on the freeway was when a U.S. President or V.P. was in town 😳

It's so interesting seeing the Rams play at Sofi as "visitors".
Really weird. There were a good number of Rams fans there and the Rams always have the sideline on the east side of the stadium, so at least those two things seemed familiar!

Half the time I don’t even know what comes out of my mouth and then when I watch the video clips I have to debate whether I should include some of them 🤣. I wish I knew for sure about the autographs. At training camp and at this game the players were so generous with their time. I did note that pregame there was only interaction with the guys who were not playing that day. I suspect that during the regular season there might only be a few players who stop by after the game if their handlers let them. That one guy was doing his best to get Steve Avila to stop signing and chatting, but kudos to Steve for hanging in and giving those kids an incredible memory and souvenir 🥹
I was there at the game and despite all the empty seats the stadium and everyone cheering was still very loud, Definitely more rams fans than chargers lol.
I enjoyed my first time going to a football game/stadium, glad we got the win :)

How disappointing to NOT get what you paid for. Still looked like an amazing atmosphere and experience. Can only imagine what it's like during a playoff game. Those were great seats, too! My suggestion would be to try and keep another 10 seconds after the TD to capture the crowd reactions, but I always enjoy your Rams posts!

Thanks for watching! I am very wistful about missing out on the Owners Club but working on getting to the bottom of it. The SoFi Social Club is fantastic and it would absolutely be hopping during a regular season game! Unfortunately the ticket prices are staggering during the regular season 😬 Normally I do pan around after touchdowns to get the crowd’s reactions, but I was shrieking so loudly after this totally unexpected TD even I couldn’t stand it so I cut it short for everyone’s sake 😂

Lolllll! I'm not really a college football fan so I didn't experience the cult of Stetson Bennett. Leading a team to back-to-back championships is certainly impressive, but I just don't think his skills translate to the NFL. The Rams have been very patient with his development, and he was slightly better this game, but I can't say I'm a fan. I'm seriously worried about what would happen if Matthew is unable to play in the first two games while Jimmy is suspended (and I also am not sure about Jimmy, although I do like to look at him). Something about those red 49ers jerseys evokes a negative feeling in me, what can I say?! ;)
@@EllabellitaLovesSlots I agree. Stetson is a raw talent. He has skills but poor decision making and bad ball placement. He throws at receivers instead of Infront of them or towards the sidelines and pylons. It's too many 50/50 balls instead of throwing them in places that gives his receivers the advantage to make the catch. These are things he can learn; he just needs more playing time and practice. He's still not ready yet but could be after spending enough time sitting behind Stafford.

So you gotta remember, it's a sporting event. In any of the sports anybody attendeds, people are gonna wear a sport clothing of a team from said sport. Yes even at games that their team isnt playing in, it's called fandom. But I can't quite let it go just yet--did you hear that Simone Biles just got ripped to pieces for wearing a jacket with images of her husband in a Packers uniform while she was attending a preseason game for his new team, the Bears? I understand the rivalry but she was repping her husband and wow, who ridicules the GOAT? If I ever go to a game that the Rams aren't playing in, I'll be content to wear regular street clothes so I can fly under the radar.

#81 is undrafted free agent, JJ Lapp. He is from Melville, Long Island, NY. He played at Cortland State University (my and my son's alma mater... just South of Syracuse, NY. Cortland State won the z
NCAA D3 (small college) Football National Championship this past Fall. JJ caught an unbelievable long ball down the sidelines for a TD in that game.
Sometimes people wear other teams jerseys to a game because of team loyalty, but wanted to watch the two LA teams play, experience SoFi Stadium or if a player they like has been traded to one of the teams playing then they wear one of that player's jerseys from another team to the game. Maybe that player just got traded and the person hasn't got the new team jersey yet.

He made a name for himself for sure with that impressive TD! Hopefully we'll see more of him.
Thanks also for your input on the jerseys. I have seen people wear jerseys for another team with the name of a player who is now on one of the teams that's playing, and that makes sense to me. I absolutely love Jalen Ramsey, and when the Rams play the Dolphins this season I'm considering wearing my Ramsey Rams jersey to the game, which is another twist on it!
I'm glad I found your video. Do you think it was because it was preseason or is it Chargers game specific, the Owners Club access. I was interested in attending a Chargers game as well and was looking into the same VIP options.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Apologies for my long-winded answer, but I hope it's useful. I've been trying to get to the bottom of this, and unfortunately I have not had any answers from Ticketmaster or the Chargers.
I believe that what the staff member at SoFi told me is actually true: Owner's Club seats don't exist for any Chargers home games, but if I had showed her the same tickets for a Rams game we would have been allowed into the Owners Club. It is deeply problematic that Ticketmaster offers "Owners Club" seats for sale for both Chargers and Rams games, especially when we now know with 100% certainty that an Owners Club ticket for a Chargers game will not get you in to the Owners Club.
I just compared Ticketmaster listings for upcoming Rams and Chargers home games. The description for OWN 131 Row 18 for the Chargers home game on Sept. 29 vs. the Chiefs reads: "Club seat with all-inclusive food and drink menu featuring a variety of food, wine, and soft drinks." Note that this is the same description that is on ALL of the tickets in the VIP 131 and 132 section, so even though OWN appears instead of VIP, there doesn't seem to be any difference in the benefits.
The listing for OWN 131 Row 18 for the Rams home game on Oct. 6 vs. the Packers reads: "Owner's Club seat. All-inclusive upscale food offerings with full open bar." This is a big difference from the description that is on all the other tickets in the VIP 131 and 132 section, which read "Club seat with all-inclusive food and drink menu featuring a variety of food, wine, and soft drinks." It definitely appears that there is a distinction between OWN and VIP tickets at Rams games.
In case it helps, the best seats we've had at SoFi were in VIP 130, Row 3 (our video: th-cam.com/video/-YOPMGrmp4Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vj1CnX9f7bu52ZEh). We had access to the SoFi Social Club and the field level patio, and our seats were so close to the field that we could see the players on the sideline up close but were still high enough so we could see the whole field well. Note that if you are a Chargers fan you'll want to be on the opposite side of the stadium so you're on the Chargers home side (VIP 110 or 113). I understand there is an equivalent set-up on that side. Good luck!
You asked about wearing other team's jerseys when they aren't even playing. So, I'm a die hard Rams fan and I get to a few games a year but I also go to games where the Rams aren't playing and I like to rep our boys with my Rams jerseys. I also wear my Dodgers jersey to non-dodgers games occasionally. I'm up in N. Cal so I get to more SF games. Bottom line, I love attending games no matter who's playing but I will always rep my teams. It might seem weird but it's fun. Having said that.... I love to rep my Rams and I can see that people would always want to rep their teams wherever they go, but I can't imagine wearing a Rams jersey to another NFL game where they aren't playing. I guess I just wouldn't want the attention or the potential problems I imagine it might cause.

What did you think about the game day experience vs the Rams?? I was there yesterday too and the energy overall was soooo low lol.
I thought it was so lackluster, pretty second-rate. The Chargers didn't even have that cannon that has scared the sh!t out of me in the past, lol! I know it's only preseason, but where were the Chargers fans? We were amazed at all of the empty seats so close to gametime. It did fill up a bit, but compared to last week's Rams vs. Cowboys game at SoFi last week it seemed pretty dead. The Chargers had some pretty good content on the infinity screen, though. I enjoyed seeing the young king again, and that kiss cam was really funny, except for the part where they got nacho cheese all over a Nacua jersey :(

so how much are those "owner"/VIP seats? Does it come with parking?
They are ridiculously expensive! Per the Rams SSL seating chart (static.clubs.nfl.com/image/upload/rams/yqggmumjaq2vdxqlpx4z.pdf) Owner's Club seats for the Rams have a $200,000 Stadium Seat License per seat, and game tickets for one season are a separate cost of $4,050 per seat! I don't know if they come with parking, but hopefully! Only some season ticket members even have access to purchase parking, and that's very limited and usually first-come, first served.
