This really looks more like a remake, rather than remaster. I expected it to be some higher quality original composition. Yet it's something entirely different!
Yeah, I wanted to make something you'd hear in an anime or film, rather than a loop for a videogame, which the original was. Also, the main reason for doing the remake at all was that I felt I could have done so much better in terms of mixing and the quality of the instrumentation. And while doing the remake, I felt like purely sticking to the original didn't allow for any new creativity, so I just went all out on it!
I am so glad to hear this new version of the track, I have loved the Rose tracks for a very long time, they have such great melodies and intensity to back it up, I almost wished to forget so I could hear them for the first time again (which I kind of got at 2:29 where the melody note so subtly differs from the original by being delayed slightly). I loved the new changes as well as how much was preserved about the original still. I've even once made a track inspired by the Rose music (youtube zaps links these days, but the unlisted video ID is TrH8u_YggHo) but, I think I should stop putting off how to make good sounding guitars in digital composing hahaha. I am excited to hear more, I love this! :)

(I work as a swimming instructor for kids now). I'm also saving up for a new pc but so far it's not going very well 😭 I'll do my best to get over it and have something soon
