Have you thought about the possibility of buying some clothing items there? For example, as someone that enjoys buying a few nice items of clothes while traveling, if I were planning on some purchases there I would pack much less than I will need for the entire trip. Also, be sure to scrub and sanitize your hiking books and all hiking gear before packing them for the actual trip. Exciting!
Yes! I've definitely thought about it. I think I need to revise what I'm bringing and get it down to something like 40-50 items. A lot of the pieces I'm bringing are on the more expensive side so I don't want to have to repurchase. Definitely room to downsize though. I thought I heard they have a sanitizing spray for hiking gear when going through customs in NZ? I'll be washing my gear anyway (for packing)! Thanks for watching btw! ☺️
Well, hiking boots were necessary as were just running/walking shoes. I've been here for 10 months now and still have all of the shoes I brought and use all but one pair frequently 😊 I've actually worn through my runners and had to replace them because I wore them so much.
I’m moving from UK to NZ in 7 months I’m way too excited and keep watching videos like this 😂 I want to see if I can manage just one suitcase and a backpack. Then just buy things when I’m out there because my suitcase was super heavy when I tested it
Honestly we brought too much!! We had a large suitcase, a carry-on suitcase and a backpack each all under the allowed weight and we wish we brought way less because you can get everything you may need here. I'd say get as close to a minimalist wardrobe as you can!
2 rain coats and 1 puffer? Because I moved my entire life to NZ lol and they have 4 seasons. Lots of rain too. I still have all 3 and have used them many times. I haven't had to buy much clothing here which has saved me a ton of money since it's so expensive here.
Out of where?? If you're referring to the bags I bought that look like giant ziplock bags then you're wrong, they're meant to be rolled to get the air out. That's the whole point of them so you don't need a vacuum while travelling 🙂
@@brittanymorgan09 out of the hole on the bag. Space bags!!! It has a cap on the hole and you take out the cap and put the attachment of the vacuum on the hole of the bag to suck the air out. What I meant!! Saw it in other packing vids 🥰
@@brittanymorgan09 ahh okay understood you clearly 🥰🥰 thanks for letting me know and honestly I found this video really informative and helpful because I wanna move to Brazil VERY SOON. 😍😍😍😍🇧🇷♉🐂♌🦁 and btw when moving abroad can I take Jewelry boxes to where I'm moving because there are sentimental jewelry pieces that I wanna keep you know????
@@alinakaiba385 it's sooo handy having bags that you can squish the air out of without a vacuum. I use them all the time when we do shorter trips within NZ! I use a jewelery bag with all different compartments to carry my jewelry and it works amazing. @@brittanymorgan09 thank you. I hope yours was good too
Omg your shoes! I don’t know why you want three pairs of joggers, and three brown sandals

Thanks! I'll be doing that tonight or tomorrow I think!
You were suppose to vacuum the air out Hun.
