  • In this Bible study of Revelation 5 all attention is focused on the scroll. What are its contents? Who will open it? What is going to happen?
Things are about to start happening very quickly. Huge numbers of cosmic and supernatural events will occur one after the other for 7 years.
And it all starts with Jesus. He is the Lion of Judah and the Root of David. Revelation shows us a side of Jesus that we didn't see at His first coming. And that is what Revelation is about...the Revelation of Jesus. All will see Him as He is.

In the same passage Jesus is called the lion and the lamb. What characteristics does a lion have that Jesus will display in the end times? Share your thoughts below.

I have been extremely wearing of studying revelations because of all the doom and gloom that is associated with this book, I am a "newish" Christian and only went to church as a child for weddings and funerals so trying to interpret what the bible is trying to tell me now as an adult (28) was a challenge at first. Now i have decided to tackle the book of Revelations and thus found your website and TH-cam and i just wanted to thank you for taking to time to educate those who are eager to learn. I am only on Rev 5 now in your study but i am enjoying it tremendously and everything in the bible that i have ever read makes a lot more sense to me now, allowing me to better answer my Sons questions and thoughts about Jesus, He is now 6 years old. I wish you and your family a great day further, God bless :)

I also did not study Revelation in our small group for a long time because of how complicated it seemed. But when we studied it, we all really enjoyed it. I hope you enjoy the rest of the rest of the study!

Good question. Mine was actually broken (tends to happen with four children) so I don't have one now either. Right now I didn't have any merchandise for sale, but I will think about it.

Hey brother. I do because it gives us hope that Jesus is coming again. That changes how we live today.

Hi very good study but wanted to understand if you subscribe to historicism view of interpretation or other views?.
To answer the question the lion and the lamb show us two things and also the contrast to how the world fail because of the matrix of violence is used to achieve their goal! We see this clearly in Daniel 2 and throughout 6,7,911,12. Jesus doesn’t use violence to establish kingdom but total opposite! Jesus humble himself when nation elevate show the spirit of Satan. The lion is power but the vision doesn’t show the lion only the sound of lion when John looked he saw the lamb not the lion. The kingdom of God is not about power plays not about flexing but about a lamb slain which would be considered a weakness to our planet but to heaven it’s the only worthy way!
