when you do this kind of stuff you can notice how Mariah gained the bad habit of pushing her jaw to the front, it's probably one of the reasons she sometimes doesn't sound so open and full in certain parts
Both of you are absolutely correct. She has gained two bad habits, pushing her jaw to the front and tilting her head upwards while singing. It definitely makes her not sound as open and full in certain parts.
I will say, she tends to push her jaw when she is vocally tired. But when she is rested it doesn’t happen, so with these Christmas shows this year you’ll notice that her jaws weren’t really pushed forward much if at all (maybe in the last couple shows)
@@user-vo9tc3hu5i yes, that's true. She was also playing it safe with the vocals this Christmas tour which helped her maintain good technique throughout. Now that she's gained confidence, I feel like even when she attempts harder vocals she'll still do it with better technique than before. Her voice is definitely improving!

She's also been tilting her head upwards whilst singing since she debuted which is a horrible habit

The jaw part is for looks. She does it so she looks more “pretty” and “perfect” which she already is but you know how insecure she is
