St James Infirmary on Cigar Box Guitar

This week I'm doing a Jazz number frim New Orleans. It dates back at least 100 years, although the origins are lost in time. It has been covered by many artists and there are lots of versions out there. I've chosen to keep it simple, but with a nod to that mournful, New Orleans sound. Enjoy .........

Many thanks - it was a Jazz standard, although Arlo Guthrie made it into a folk classic. It reminds me of a New Orleans Marching Jazz band. 👍🪕🥰
