Wow Sophie, it looks like you had an amazing time so many beautiful shops and stalls. Your purchases are gorgeous. I’m glad you had a lovely time and I hope you’re jetlag isn’t too bad. x
First time I came across your podcast, I've subscribed and will continue watching. Very entertaining, fun, informative. Loved your videos of the yarn stores and the festival, thank you, Mandy from Christchurch, New Zealand
It looked fantastic Sophie and all your footage of shops and festival was so good to see, wow! Such a selection of everything i love. Your haul is wonderful, so much choice. Very excited for you. And welcome home you can rest recover and have lots of happy memories. Thank you for showing us all. X😊
It looks like you did a very good job. I love all of your purchases. I’m so glad it was successful. It looked absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to see the links for your purchases. I always go and check out the places. it’s nice to live through you. 😊
Awh thank you yes I will add those asap - just landed in Heathrow airport - barely slept and got a 5 hour drive back up to Yorkshire so refuelling with coffee and a muffin first 😂
Hi Sophie, wonderful video, thank you ☺️ as a knitter, but also Japanese stationery enthusiast (the Hobonichi camp!) I’m wondering if you have come across Misopaper- a wonderful English based website stocking everything from journals (TN), pens and stickers. TSL too. Well worth checking out imo😅. Safe journey home
Hi Lara! Oh yay! So happy to hear that, do you use your hobonichi as a crafting journal too? I LOVE miso paper - there’s also a stationery festival in Manchester this June… have you heard about it? stationeryfest.co.uk
You did great. It didn’t show like it was your first time editing. Looks like you had an amazing time. Lovely to see around the different wool shops and the venue. Keep up the good work!!! ❤❤
I have a few journals- one for knitting (and a little crochet) and the other for ‘everything else’. Both a6 this year, and I love them. It’s so great to hear about and to catch the occasional glimpse of your TN. I live in the South (we had a chat at unravel), so sadly won’t be making it to Manchester. Safe travels ☺️
It was lovely to get a chance to get a couple skeins from you in person at Knit City! Glad you enjoyed your time in Toronto. I live here but I haven't been to Wonder Pens or Knitting Loft yet! Definitely going soon!
So happy you had a great time in Toronto ! The weather was gorgeous for the weekend. The "star" stitch markers you got at The Knitting Loft, I believe they are supposed to be a crochet granny square. So disappointed I get to go, but we were visiting our son and his wife in Ottawa. Will definitely have to go next time Knit City is in Toronto.
Loved this video thank you so much. Those bags you purchased were gorgeous. I would love to go to an overseas yarn festival next year, can I ask out of all you have done, which one you would suggest ? Xxx Ps. Will be coming up to york next month and will be visiting your shop
Awh yay I’m glad you enjoyed it! Ah that’s a tough question, it depends what you would like to see… New York sheep and wool, (Rhinebeck) is amazing as there’s the pre show the Friday which is more independent indie dyed yarn, and then the New York Sheep and Wool show is the Saturday Sunday and has a whole combination of different vendors - it’s all amazing to be honest! I would also recommend flock fiber festival in Seattle as that’s amazing and the local area is beautiful and you could visit Bainbridge island which is also amazing and has wonderful yarn shops… 💖💖
PS, our studio is only open at open days, the next one is on 20th July, but we could make a special appointment for you to visit if you like, please email orders@botanicalyarn.com 💖

I loved seeing your hall😍 I know where to go if I ever find myself in Totoro! I am excited to visit you at Flock🐑🐑🐑🧶🧶🧶 in August! You mentioned macarons in the video. You should definitely stop by the Bakery I work at when you come to Seattle. Bakery Nouveau in Burien, it is just a few minutes away from SeaTac airport. Open Wednesday-Sunday 7-5. We have many people who come as their first stop after flying in or their last stop to bring goodies home before they fly out.
Awh thank you so much - love the recommendation - definitely happy for more of those and yes I have added the bakery you mentioned to my Seattle to visit list! 💖 see you at Flock 💖 I’ll be doing opening preorders soon for you to collect at the festival which will be exciting
