Theres not many people out there that are going where they WANT to go, there going where ever life takes them. I don't feel like life brought me to race motocross. It was a decision I made when I was young and I have followed it till this day. So I feel like people say negative things because there stuck flippin burgers and I'm stuck on a track raceing motocross for the same amount of hours and loving every bit of it!.
Good for you man, I respect that. I'm not even 16 yet and you could say I recently fell in love with this sport, I don't have anyone who really knows too much about it, I had to research and go on forums to ask for help, other than that almost everyone in my family tried to convince me to let it go. Luckily they haven't stopped me and my dad is still supporting me, but learning everything by myself is harder than it may seem, I'll never quit though.
mx is the only thing ive ever had confidence in myself in....ive always downed myself in school and everything else but motocross i just belive in myself i have motivation for motocross....nothing else
I have started riding this year and I'm fourteen I don't know how I'm going to do it but I want to become pro I have a 1985 yz125 that I have freshly rebuilt myself, I rebuilt it in two days and immediately had to go to my first race with no experience, then I learn how to pre jump and etcetera in a year. Every night I wish to become pro hoping for some day for it to happen and I start to work out and I do it for 1 hour at a time a day.
Don't give up on your dream, and certainly don't let anyone discourage you and tell you what you believe in is impossible. Keep working hard and no matter what anyone says, do it for yourself.
+Sadie Eddington Doesn't matter matter race, gender, origin or anything. keep working hard and you will eventually fulfill your dream and you will succeed. Don't let anyone take you down and tell you that you can't do it because one day you will show them up.
I have this video saved on my phone and everytime I go to the track I put my headphones on and listen to it. I gotta say whenever I listen to it before I ride, it pisses me off. It makes me want to go out there and prove everybody wrong about every negative thing anybody has ever said about me. Block everything out, go out there get the job done, go home and know that at the end of the day I did what I wanted/had to do and had one hell of a time doing it.
i cant afford a bike, everyday i watch this video & tell myself keep saving keep saving! some days i go without lunch because $20 can make a big difference over time
Troy Kingman same, this was typed out two years ago. Idk if you got a bike but I used to race when I was 5 till I was 12, my parents split in the middle of the mid America championship series, I was first all season and the last 8 races I broke my tibia and tore my acl at practice. Then after that my dad and my mom were moved apart, my dad sold my bike and forced me to stop. I’ve always wanted to race again, it was something I loved that got taken away from me. I’m 16 now, and I don’t think I’ve ever went a single day without wanting to ride again. I got a job this week, already saved up 130$ I’m going to buy a bike finally after almost 5 years of wanting to ride.
Motocross is not sport, Its the way of life. I don't imagine my life witouth it.And all the people say i can't do it, it makes me want to do it even more. It's just the way it is.And every time i fall, i try to ride faster, to be stronger, to beat everyone who say i can't do it.All i can say is- MY LIFE IS MOTOCROSS!!!!
The people that are really living their life, are the ones that have fun with a fear over and over . for example dirt bike riders are always facing the fear of falling after being 50 feet in the air
For anyone who wants to watch/listen to the whole motivational speaker in this video... his name is Eric Thomas. The video is called "how bad do you want it". Thumbs up because I'm sure everyone who watches this video wants to hear more from this guy.
motivation and that motivation goes to exercising and if you cant exercise then just don't try because you will not succeed under any circumstances and when I say succeed im saying just finishing not winning or getting top ten but just finishing the race and if you get that top ten remember there is still a main event that you have to compete in. so don't call the sport easy if you've never done it before
Motocross. I wish I can do it so bad. I mean I have a dirt bike I Ride everyday and one thing about motocross is you need a decent amount of money you have to travel so I will never make it. Good luck to all of you other people much respect for you's working you're asses off I just cant afford a good bike to race though to so yeah. Good luck and don't expect to see me on the track.
okay fair enough... im just a bit curious though, motocross is primarily a muscular endurance sport, correct? i understand that strengthening fast twitch fibers will ultimately increase muscular strength in shorter anaerobic bursts but motocross isnt an explosive, fast twitch fibre dominant sport like olympic lifting for example. in saying that i 100% agree that any rider needs to be strong holistically, but it just seems like the exercise is over complicated and silly.
i no u dont get it from the videos but im gutted for villipotos family man.. i take nothing away from you great rider great man .. but always remember ya roots.. i cudnt think of any thing worse then not being able to share it with ne old man of all people
a lot of people say how motocross is easy all you got to do is twist the throttle and go. but no there wrong, motocross is the most physical sport on the planet and then they say you need arm muscle to hold on, well ya you do but try holding a five pound helmet on your head for 30 min+ and having the toughest forces thrown at you like the "whoops" and see if you can go through that section of the course 20+ times and they wont do it. you see what im trying to say here is that motocross takes
and is done moreso because it looks cool rather than being efficiently effective. uve said that "YES its very beneficial"... but how and where is it beneficial in regards to a motocross athlete or motocross race?
for all of you out there in a situation, listen to this man speaking he lived homeless for a long damn time and hes up to where millions look up to him now and im one of them, my mother and paa wont let me race right now but let me tell you i was 14 years old and i got my cr250 two stroke, and thats when i thouight hey. i wanna get serious about what im doin this isnt just a game anymore its my life. all of you can do it just git yourself a job and git going im saving every last penny so i can race when im eighteen, and i mean every sing damn penny ive owned since i got my 250.. you all may not know me now, but someday you'l be hearing about zach sylvester on the T.V and im going to be there for every last one of you when i do. follow me on twitter for more inspiration @thenativeripper
If you want something that bad, (as bad as the guy talks about in the video) you have deep issues that will never be resolved by achieving whatever goal you are set up as your idol. Winning is great and working hard for it is great too, but Seek first the Kingdom of God or nothing else will ever be satisfying.
I am 14. Am I to old to start racing. My friends and family tell to give it up and just do football even though I don't like it. Should I give on motocross or not
Here’s the way I see it I was in your same spot my mom hated dirtbikes and my dad rode when he was younger but I’m 22 now I recently bought a 2017 CRF250R and I have been racing for about a year and I’m going to tell you football will stop when you get out of high school you may make it to college but you ride and race till you die! Keep your head up my man!
Technically, it doesn't. Also, if you think about it, all those sports you listed above require more technically. That's why they have a ball boy for football, the booth for basketball has back up balls, and the ump in baseball has extra balls. Not to mention each player, has two balls. So that makes 3.
Theres not many people out there that are going where they WANT to go, there going where ever life takes them. I don't feel like life brought me to race motocross. I watch this video everyday and always before I ride.
Before I get out of bed to work out, before I go to bed at night. Before I rip it up. #Braaap
Ya this makes me ride harder and make me try and be successful more
I always watch this before i ride! It helps me to preform more
mx is the only thing ive ever had confidence in myself in....ive always downed myself in school and everything else but motocross i just belive in myself i have motivation for motocross....nothing else

It's to strengthen fast twitch fibers for secondary and tertiary muscles, while working the core......and YES it's very beneficial.

motivation and that motivation goes to exercising and if you cant exercise then just don't try because you will not succeed under any circumstances and when I say succeed im saying just finishing not winning or getting top ten but just finishing the race and if you get that top ten remember there is still a main event that you have to compete in. so don't call the sport easy if you've never done it before
