I was worried for a while that something was wrong with my hair, because it wasn't as full as others. I know it's not healthy to compare your hair to someone else's, but this is definitely helped eased my concern. I now understand that my hair can be healthy too, even if my strands are skinnier. Thanks Yannie!

Love this video! I can relate to the skinny locs. I was getting my locs groomed too often and too tight until Yannie started caring for my locs. I have been following Yannie’s advice on caring for my locs and I have noticed a big difference. I missed this cycle of Yannie’s appointments in June and am looking forward to continuing to her next cycle in September 2021. Yannie is the real deal!

Love this encouragement. I too have a fine texture. Will see more scalp than most in between locs which can be worrisome. I try to remember your words that our locs are individual to us and not all the same. I focus on keeping them healthy rather than striving to be like others. Less is definitely more for us folks with fine hair.

I believe I found you during the pandemic. You have been a blessing. I was one of those who got my hair done every 6 weeks because of my job . During the pandemic I learned to allow my roots to grow. Wow. I stumbled on this video and I’m so glad I did. I got Sisterlocks two years ago. My locs are in the middle of my back, so pretty long.
One year and five months in I combined most of them by two strand twisting. I have maintained them myself for the last year. I am now ready to transition to traditional locs. My hair is fine and strands grow outside my locs. Would I be a good candidate to transition to traditional with my current loc side, which is the size of my pinky?

Hi Yannie... big up to you girl on the great job your doing. I'm Ayana from Trinidad...been enjoying your videos. Start my dreadlocks 2 years ago..i have somewhat of the same hair like the person in this video...some areas are thicker whilst some areas are thinner... probably due to all the chemicals I used to use. My locks was not professionally started so the locks at the back of my head are thicker than those to the front. Can this be rectified in terms of getting them the same size
