Putting a level cap instead of a weapon grade requirements is the biggest mistake they did, always take between 20-30 just to sometimes win because of unprepared hunters who just wants to get carried instead of doing work
Perfect choice for intro and thank you very much on the guide. Oh boy it feels frustrating when hunters are leaving the fight early due not getting some part broken or too slow dps. One of the best moments are the last second kills with all the excitement.
Two big requests. First, can you do a best poison bow build video. Or just reply to this with best armor and smelt lineup. Poison bow seems to be so OP against Kushala. Correct me if I’m wrong. I hope we see it more often, kinda frustrating right now. People going completely undergeared wasting your entrance because "repelled". Today had 2/4 dying during p1 and stayed dead "Because someone else will carry them!!1" I for myself only got problems with db on p2 but I hope I can get my gunlance to at least 8* and hope it returns in the future so can push the weapon to 9* (but the restart trick is helpful, glad to know it by now)
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS Exactly, just returned from my 8* kushala and had 3 bow users, I got killed twice (shame on me, but knockbacked during animation being killed by tornado was aww) but that one bow user died end of p1 before switching phases and refused to revive, without the other strong bow users, we would have failed, had like 6 seconds left on the clock. I hope we get a field version at one time D: My biggest disappointment is, I still need c.pukei and zinogre stuff to get my weapon on 9-3, but limited raid frame of course farming kushala instead of the rest. Seperated 1* HaT and one time raid would be so great)
Anyone know what a melee user is suppose to do about the wind shield in Phase 2? Just hitting the wind shield I get stunned. Character doesn't mention what to do. There's nothing I can hit during Phase 2.
You have to target the head or tail area if your melee and can't attack out of close range. Preferably the tail because Kush has to turn if it targets you.
I’ve come across a lot of people that bail in the second phase if it looks like the head isn’t going to break. Irritating for sure. I’ve had one rarity 6 drop so far (out of 17 total kills) and it didn’t come from a hunt with a head break!
Which Daora equipments are worth it for ICE builds? They seem lackluster except for ice weapons which is a bother to upgrade if you already have Barioth weapons...

It’s not you shouldn’t. It’s can you? The head and tail both take A LOT of damage to break/cut. So unless your entire squad is coordinated it’s not gonna be remotely easy. That’s why I said don’t worry about it. Super Elitists are going to treat Kushala like Zinogre lol.

Its been happening whether I shared it or not. You can't control what other players are going to do regardless. But if your the one that decided to jump into a low timer elder and failed thats your fault lol.
I was disappointed with kushala. Only 1 monster for a hunt ticket. Its not fun to fight. Sns users are basically useless in the second phase. I'll spend my tickets on huntathons.

Always nice getting the kill on a Kush whilst it's in the sky. This guide will definitely help, especially the no wind pressure tip. As much as I fought Kush in World and Rise, a guide as detailed as this helps a lot!
Dude, this video was super useful. So good to know that you can back out if you can’t beat its second phase. I have yet to defeat its second phase 3x now and was mad ppl were leaving but I see why now. Can’t wait for a best kushala weapon and build video and how it compares to legi. I always look forward to seeing your videos man!

Nah your good! It happens haha. if your having trouble with the timing stay as far away from Kushala as you can before Phase 2 starts and have your teammates start Phase 2. Then just keep rolling back, this should help you avoid the AOE attack.

Wow, I gotta say that they really hit it out of the park with Kushala, at least more than expected. Getting 75 additional seconds for reducing its health to 50%, getting 8 materials in base rewards instead of 4 for a successful slay, and an amazing unique skill for its armor set - one that even one piece is worth sacrificing two ranks of Critical Eye for. My new Ice set is going to be Coral/Barioth/Barioth/Legiana/Kushala until I can meld a point of Ice Attack onto either my Barioth gloves or Legiana waist, then I'll swap in Kushala chest, since Partbreaker will be far more useful than Skyward Striker for LS.
Me, who ambitiously hunted Pink Raths during the event to near extinction in order to have p.rath matts to get my Royal Rose to 10.5 (currently 10.4 and just need the wgs and zenny). Its a good day to be a poison sns main 😂 Honestly, Kushala is a suuuper fun fight and i hope i get more chances to go out and farm it!

Hrmmm…I did a few kushala hunts so far…and personally, I’m probably not going to go very hardcore on them anymore.😅 -the kushala weapons’ high raw vs. low element is not great. Similar to comparing Rathalos vs Anganath weapons, Legiana is just better (but that LBG is frustrating because the wasp has a *much* better ammo selection!🥲) -playing with mhquest, coral helm, barioth gloves, and the rest kushala…and drift smelting +3 ice, +2 crit eye gives an awesome ice set that does 4298 with a 10.5 legiana SnS!🤩…however, that involves grade 8 upgrading *three* kushala armor pieces?! There currently aren’t any ice weak monsters that need that much overkill!😅

Question as a poison support. Should I do full Poison if possible and ditch Staus Sneak Attack? Running A. Helm and Jyuratodos Greaves for focus and; as well the Pukei-Pukei Chest piece for Focus 5. Then im using the Tzi-Tzi coil(?) for 2 Status sneak attack and Pukei-Pukei gloves/glaives for 2 poison. I have A. Helm with the poison skill so I can have 3 poison attack. But yeah. Got any idea for a Poison support build? I'm basically support everytime anyways and would like to get better. That and getting the (40) Monster Bone+ and Zenney to get my Rathian Bow to 9* eventually. But my problem is that I can't poison fast enough as I normally aim for the outside part of the wings to try to do poison affliction. Aiming for the tail is hard to but will aim for the tail if there's an opportunity.
Status Sneak Attack 4 is FOR SURE the standard. Poison Attack is secondary. Unless your using gunlance that build is the meta. Unless Kushala is just hyper focused on you it will take a lot of practice to get optimal positioning as it moves around a lot in phase 2, but totally doable.

I totally would but…perfect dodging is really dependent on player skill. The only reason you see Japanese players doing crazy video things is because they practiced a lot. They won’t show you all the failure before that one lol 😂
Just got my first rarity 6 drop from the raid no 5s yet though have completed 8 so far any one in the party using poison u are God also for people trying to use wind proof you need the Kushala armor not regular windproof. Also he will kill you unless you are God at dogging make sure you have like 5 potions a hunt fr fr
I get why Kusha leaves if you fail Phase 2. you dont want hunters endless grinding Phase 1 after all, but i am worried about it possibly causing players to leave WAY too early, like Kusha has 5% hp and you leave with 25 seconds left kinda stuff. Had someone do that in a 7* Zin fight and while it didnt matter at the end, its still annoying
Once hunters get used to it the leaving should be less. Otherwise, you’ll have to decide whether you wanna restart or try and carry like I do in some of the examples here lol

Zinogre LBG apparently wrecks it, what with two of its shot types completely bypassing its wind barrier.

It’s technically 2 since you get two phases of rewards. The good thing is you can do both HATS and interceptions with one ticket.
SnS is doable against Kusha. There's a vid on YT, the guy did 3* Kushala solo. He used Zinogre SnS, and max out Offensive Blocker skill.

You don’t really need 5 potions lol but it can feel like that for sure.
