The only thing that has kept me in Ford products is seat comfort. I’m so glad to hear the Denali Ultimate seats are comfortable. For too long GM has not addressed seat comfort. Every one I have tested felt like sitting on a park bench.
I ordered a 3/4 gmc in July and the only thing I have been worrying about is the wife hating the ride hearing your wife’s opinion makes me feel a little better that my wife will like it
Backing a trailer … my method is to place hands at the BOTTOM of the steering wheel. When backing, look at the side-view mirrors. Move your hands toward the mirror that the trailer NEEDS to move toward. Smallish movements then correct toward neutral or a bit more to stop the trailer moving that direction.
Beautiful Truck just wish they color matched the Vader chrome all throughout the trim I’m not sure you can aftermarket a paint match or wrap anywhere for that color
I really like this truck! Any experience with a 1-ton diesel GMC Denali? I have a 3500 Ram gasser pulling a Grand Design 321MB 5th Wheel. Thinking of getting a bit bigger 5th wheel and going to diesel. Opinions? Comments?

I bought a half ton Denali Ultimate last month. Then couple weeks later they get in the 3/4 ton. Not that I really need a 3/4 ton but maybe I should have just waited a couple weeks. Its only like a $10k difference in price. Which really isn't much talking moving up to a bigger truck with the bigger Duramax. Mine has the LZ0 and I know with the HD trucks there is I think a $9500 price difference between getting the gas 6.6 and the diesel 6.6. All the Ultimate 3/4 ton come with a Duramax you can't get gas as far as I know. I know I have seen some dealers with outrageous prices up to $130-140k on these trucks but the local dealer I buy from never charges over MSRP. He even has one of those Hummers for $115k.
Massive-? I have a 2022 Chevy 3500 SRW, and it feels massive when I’m looking for the front or right side in tight zones. It’s great on the highway but totally vague to in close quarters. I think I’d like the lowered 12:10 Ford front doors and mirrors but I’m not willing to give up everything else to get that. That said, GM was supposed to lower the front windows a little on the 2024 so please elaborate on that.
Another great review JD, I’m thinking you may be on the verge of canceling your new F-450 you have on order and possibly go with a GMC 3500, I certainly wouldn’t blame you. Very nice trucks.
Start your back up training with a longer trailer it is much easier to back up, the shorty the troller, the harder it is to back up. Finish a smaller trailer. 👍👊😎

All trucks are expensive though. If you got the Limited Ram or F250 it wouldn't be any cheaper then this Ultimate really. Hell a half ton Ultimate is about $85k. I got my half ton Duramax for around $83k out the door price taxes and all but it was $85k originally. Kinda wish I had waited a couple weeks. Not that I needed a 3/4 ton but the dealer got one of these new 3/4 Ultimate in a couple weeks after I bought my truck and its only about $10k more for the HD truck which seems like a hell of a deal for that little bit of difference in price
Well GM took the leap and made them front independent suspension which should help ride comfort drastically. Ram did coils in the rear but I think getting rid of the solid front axle does more for the comfort than springs
Could someone please tell me what size the hitch receiver is? Do these come with a 2-inch or a 2.5-inch receiver? I have asked the dealer salespeople, and the service department and checked some online GMC forms. They all give me a different answer. Great truck and video by the way.
100k for a truck unreal times we live in. Guess getting a basic truck and tricking it out is the wave of the future. My state has registration cost of the msrp of the truck. Even in ten years if I could get that truck for 50k still paying on the original msrp. I’m good.
You americans still like big engines. Man with such a big engine in Europe one would have to pay A LOT on insurance and taxes over 1 year. And I mean A LOT! Very expensive. 2000$ just for year tax and insurance even more. No thanks!

Yeah, the massaging seats in the Denali Ultimate/AT4X are directly from the Caddilac Escalade.

Ride quantity on mine is phenomenal, I came from a raptor so maybe that’s a thing but it drives like a Cadillac to me

Ride comfort is marginally better than others...maybe. it's not dramatic.
