I just found your video and am hoping to get into obgyn speciality. I was care management, but now I'm training for urgent care and I will say i HATE critical care/urgent care. Plus I don't like working from home permanently.
I have my CPC and CEMC. I’m planning on going for the COBGC next! I don’t plan on switching to any other speciality. However, I do review some minor procedures for Neonatology & Pediatric Hospitalists. But my main focus and workload is for OBGYN. If you want to learn about the other specialties available, check the AAPC. Www.AAPC.com and click on their Certifications tab from there you can click View All Certifications. Other options to name a few would be Cardiovascular, Dermatology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, etc.
@@brendawhiteside3785 I’m not sure if there is a certification for Lactation or a Lactation Coding Job. But I do know some OB practices provide lactation services for their patients post-delivery. I would find out what offices provide that in your area and see if they have anything available as POA - Physician Office Assistant. This wouldn’t be a work from home type of job though. And it’s not the same pay as a coder. I honestly don’t know of a position specifically for lactation coding.
What type of tabs did you use ? I love how you were able to write on the tab itself and not the little piece of paper they give you . 🥰 Also big fan , I’m taking a course for Medical Billing and coding currently, and it’s honestly been an amazing experience.

I do plan on getting a camera for better quality but I really would like for TH-cam to pay for it, if that makes sense! Lol! It motivates me to keep going and uploading because my TH-cam check will pay for the camera I want and lap top, etc.
