They can create new accounts to prevent anyone noticing if they are scammers. 3. Most people use lottery to scam player like doing trade system but we give items first if we gave it first they will expel us. 4. People pretend to be bg tubers or other popular people. There was a strategy back in the days to avoid scams basically just standing far away from a player then they both drop items next to them while they both go other player dropped item while the other player will go to the other player items this strategy was before trading system but now this no longers work because bound items cant be dropped and bound items can only be traded in the trading system

Another scam is the gcubes trade it is similar to what you said but in this trade the gcube trader top up other player first and if the player gives the items for gcubes after sometime the gcube trader will refund the top up
