As always a very nice video. This light throws very good, but the artifacts are to visible for me. It disturbs to much. But for the money it's a very useful light.

Jesus this is a hard decision. I wanted more throw and wow factor than my BLF Q8, so I was looking at the FT03, which is really cheap for the amount of throw. Then MF01s states that it has 100kCd and 15k lumens, so then that was on my radar (still not out tho), now this comes out which is like my Q8 on steroids.

My New MT09R is alsof getting to hot in Turbo. I now use my hand as a thermostate. If my hand starts to hurt, i switch back to a low setting. But i like the new MT09R V2 very much.

When using the FT03 as a comparison, it would help to know which version it is, Ft03 sst40W will not be the same as the Ft03 XHP50.2. Lumens and throw are different with the sst 40w having the longer throw, but lower lumens.
The FT03S is not the one I was speaking of, there was the SST 40W and the XHP 50.2 version before the FT03S was launched, but I do not know which of those 2 leds cam first, but they are close to the same price. The FT03S is a much higher priced light. The FT03 SST40 was a hit with me due to it's budget price. If you get in the same price range as the FT03S, there are many more options for a thrower. I just got an MF04 ordered for under 160 dollars. I also have this light ordered. PS:::I had to copy and paste your reply, as it did not show here, just in notifications. Which FT03 was used?
The price is just unbelievably cheap for what you get. I just don't know why Haikelite decided to go with proprietary charging instead of usb charging. If they went with usb charging, they would have seen much more sales. That's the reason why I didn't buy this.
Totally agree, these USA DC chargers are no good to me in the UK. I have an adapter but it becomes flimsy in the wall and I can charge USB flashlights off powerpacks on my travels
This is very interesting. The throw is amazing for a can light. And the time the Turbo lasts, impressive. But I don't know about the beam pattern with flower petals and the artifacts. Also one last thing, this lights seems to attract weird creatures out in the darkness among the fields... I have enough trouble with run of the mill coyotes etc.
I carry an Astrolux MF02S and an MF02 while walking the dog. I find the lower modes great for walking around. Plus, when I really want to blast something, high and turbo, do the trick! I get wicked pleasure out of turbo though. 😈 Carrying them around gives the added benefit of a light upper body workout. 😋 I would love to see a comparison between this light, MT-40, and the MF02S. Would be great if you could manage that! Otherwise, I may have to get the MT-40 and do it myself. Great video again! Keep it up, I've liked and subscribed!

This got hot because the Turbo runtime is too long. 3 mins is pretty generous.
