I think your philosophy is spot on. Even though I’m in the UK, and not growing to sell, your advice and experience is useful to those of us who have jobs and other commitments. And I couldn’t agree more about those flippin’ snapdragons. xx

I love the way you presented this video! We could have all been together having a cuppa tea or coffee ☕️❣️A nice, friendly chat! I don’t want to cover either. I am going to try one small raised bed with cover for snaps, etc. I will try your winners, uncovered and see what happens in 7a/b. Thanks so much🌸

Thank you Barbara! Even eliminating a few row covers makes things so much easier.

I would like to try to grow more flowers next year it is on my wish list. I am jotting down names as you talk! I have so been enjoying having fresh cut flowers in our house this summer and would like to increase that in the future. -Cara 😀

Just buy the book! You had me laughing! Couldn’t agree more, but the info you shared is so valuable! Keep it up! And I’m in love with snapdragons but they are tough to grow! At every darn step I lose some so by the time they’re blooming I have a much smaller crop than I wanted!

I know! They are so frustrating to grow but make me so happy when the start blooming.

    Hi Carmen!
Great book recommendation, I have the book too. I’m not a flower farmer but a flower & vegetable gardening is my hobby. Maybe when I retire I might try flower farming but like you I still work as an EMR consultant. Some of the flowers you mentioned I did in winter sowing. Bells of Ireland didn’t work for me either. I’m in zone 5b, central northern lower Michigan. My bee balm I didn’t cover either. I grew in a container and think if I grew in the ground it could be invasive like mint in Michigan. Thanks for sharing! Chris 👩🏻‍🌾😊🌺

Yes, the book is great for all types of gardeners. So far, the bee balm has not been invasive. 🤞🏻

Do you remember when you planted them out?

I really like your videos, but the volume is really hard to hear.

Thank you Michelle for letting me know! I’ll try to figure out how to fix it. 🙂

I agree, I was just going to ask if the volume on the microphone can be turned up. But I’m hard of hearing so I think everything is difficult to hear properly. 😄
