Oh now you went and made another wearable I have to try. You're the only creater that I can follow for trying something completely foreign to my crochet ability. The calming tone and encouragement you share and when you tell us it's ok to change things up to fit what we want really makes me want to try every tutorial you put out. This one has to wait a little though my yarn isn't here yet and the water bottle holder is first on my list because like you Im diabetic and need all the water I can drink. Hey, Jenn! This is a very cute top. I would love to make one that is more solid as I am a much older person. This pattern would make a nice bathingsuit cover-up.
Gonna try this with Mandelas new Ombre yarn in Harmony (looks like denim to me) it's a squishy soft yarn.

I love this top! I showed it to my godmother and shes IN LOVE with it. Im going to be making it for her. Shes a BIG WOMAN and wears a 6X size shirt. Ive measured around her largest area and will adjust the stitch count at the elbow so that it will come down farther on her arms but because its meant to be flowy, it should be ok. I do have a question though, is it possible to add stitches once you start the 'in the round' part of it? Id like to know how to make it fit her without making the upper part so much larger, if its possible.
Before you connect in the round, do a chain under the arms to make it wider.

Lately, I’ve had the worst problem center pulling any Premier yarns. It’s nothing but a huge yarn barf! I’ve even had several skeins that have multiple breaks (I mean the skeins are actually in multiple pieces and not knotted together) in one skein. Very disappointed in Premier Yarn over this. I really wish all yarn skeins and cakes came with a tagged center pull.

Totally lost … I did the foundation; then HDC row; then did the DC row; then the next HDC row… did/do not understand how to start the next DC row. Do we do HDC’s to the corner and then start the DC’s???

Question what am I doing wrong? I chained 80 did 80sc but when I do HDC row I get 22 then on next row I get 26. I cant figure out why im not getting 24, 28, 32 like you had mentioned. Help please

Hey! Love this top and I am working on it for a swimsuit cover-up. My problem is that while I am nearly the same height as you (5’7”) and I measured the fit til I get to a couple inches above my elbow crease, it’s matching the measurements you gave us along the way in the video. While I am the same height, I weigh about 135 lbs…. So my top is looking quite large for me. I’m not experienced at making garments and I am wondering where I could possibly decrease the stitches around so that it would fit my size better. I still want the poncho type loose fit, but not so large that it doesn’t appear to fit. Any suggestions? Thanks so much for your hard work on your channel!
Yes, stop shorter than your elbows it will still work.
