Trust me, back in the 1990s during my childhood, we went to sea world to watch the orcas perform and we got splashed by killer whales in the audience so that’s why we need something to prevent ourselves from getting wet.
The one with the snow plow was shot with a drone, so no camera man intestinal fortitude required.

just after 14 minutes in, there's a base jumper video, person in a green/black suit. How are they filming themselves like that? It looks as if there's a camera flying a few feet from them...WTH?
Pretty sure the near camera effect is just a GoPro, but don't quote me on that.

I've noticed this with mountain bikers and motorcycles too,
the camera seems to hover around them changing perspective at will.
It's a cool effect
My guess: it´s a 360 degree camera on a stick to the helmet. Software removes the stick by itself, and you can turn the view to the side you like to have in the video.
