Suggestion: show where do you subscribe to that function "():Observable{}" you created in the service at the beginning, and then never used in the end.

It worker by adding: .subscribe(data => { console.log(data) }) at the end of this.dialogService.confirmDialog( {...} ) It returns true or false.
