I recognize the bag in the thumbnail. I got it from my local dollar store a few years ago. It's stood up ok to light travel wear, I don't think anything serious has ripped. If you want that product, they probably still have it in a similar design.

this is great, but if you have hot glued a lot of projects, you will find the hot glue grows old and cracks and then it falls apart, find a wy to reenforce the edges, and a regular machine will se on the zipper

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what washable materials can I substitute the cardboard and maybe the tape for? I would love to make this, but I also want to make it washable in case something breaks or leaks or something gets spilled on it ^^'.
Rubber but like a spatula stronger rubber or maybe a silicone or hot glue sticks maybe you could use like plastic like kitchen plastic like a cutting board
For the tape substitute, I would simple use a thin fabric and glue it down. As for the cardboard, you can always use some kind of plastic , personally though, I don’t like the hard case effect of it, and instead would use a thicker fabric or something in order for the case to be a bit more malleable.

Insted of the carton u can used thicker plastic.
Instead of cardboard u can use milk carton
