OH!!!! I absolutely LOVE Tasha Tudor!! She was from New England like me. Her son built her last home in New Hampshire. (unfortunately I live in Mi. now😑). I had al!most every one of her books, and some prints. I was infatuated by her. I read her biography, had a copy of her Stetchbook. Fascinating women. Her husband couldn't take her eccentric lifestyle,so left her and her 4/5 kids. She raised them by herself and that is why she started writing and illustrating children's books. No running water, no electricity, wood burning stove, goats, corgi's, ducks wondering in and out of the house. Made all their clothes, actually weaved her own cloth. Barefoot alot of the time. Felt she had lived in the 1830's before, so that is why she dressed and lived like she did. Had s wealthy Sea Captain for a Dad and a bohemian Mom. I could go on and on about her. I also loved Elie Wisel's (sp?) Night. I envy you with all those l.f.L around. Few and far between where I live. The cocoa looked good enough to drink now and it's June! Thanks for the fun video🙂🤗.

I did not know any of that- I definitely need to read up more on Tasha. She sounds incredible and fascinating! I am so blessed to have so many LFLs around me- they're so much fun and such a great way to spread the love!

OMG, you found An Island Garden! There was a copy of that at a local used bookstore where I live. It's about Appledore Island off the coast of New Hampshire and the gardens that.used to be there. It was a resort in the 19th century but the buildings burned down at some point. Beautiful illustrations in the book.

Thanks for taking us along, it reminded me of all the free little libraries in Silverlake and the surrounding areas. They had new books,cd’s, children books. This area had a lot of creative folks, movie writers, etc. so I found a lot of good, cool stuff. Liked that u make sure to replace books.

I totally would 've taken that Winnie the Pooh book and exchanged it for my gently used softcover of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. Trade one classic for another.👍👍

The Charles de Lint ones are good finds! Foundational vintage sci-fi. Michener, &c. I probably would've gone on a rampage raid for these LFLs. I agree with Cameo Jen about finding the unique character of each LFL and their communities---I've found they generally bear little ecosystems of trends either of donations or of what people like to take from them; it is interesting to observe.

That's really good to know! There were lots of great finds that weren't the perfect fit for me so I left them. If I had known about Charles de lint I would have picked up one to see if I liked his style! 😊

theres maybe two near where I live. Is there any app or website where we can go online to find where more are located? I know they are just outside peoples houses so it might be weird to search up peoples addresses... but I'd love to find more!

No worries! I use the little library app! It's pretty good but they aren't all on there! I usually look at cities or suburbs outside of big cities or look for clusters on the little libraries map 😊
