I did an abomination on mine I got 2 short fenders at the back that ass saver wing and another small one meant to shield the body of the bike from mud.
Yep, that's a Mud Hugger, gravel edition. I've used a standard 29er Mud Hugger in the past. Great bit of kit but not light and needs to be attached with around 6 zip ties.
I’m ashamed to say I have no idea where I am once I go south of the Tyne by bike. Looked like a good route apart from the trail damage. How long was this route?
@@TheRadGravelRider I actually thought it would be longer than that. Those tracks must be in fairly close proximity to the river. I really need to look into what’s there. I live in Gosforth so it’s not far away at all. Dunno what it is about crossing the river it’s like another world 😂
Yep, unless you're running full fenders (which aren't always the best on off road trails) then riders behind will still get some throwback, but definitely nowhere near as much as riding behind someone with no guard at all.
Great video and review. I hope that John is OK. And I hope that the council will repair those canyons in the Bowes path this spring.
There's a few sections that have been resurfaced, but I'm guessing that happened before winter. Lots of work needs to be done.
Cheers for the ride Mark, I always enjoy a visit to Pedalling Squares
My first time and I was only disappointed I didn't go for the same breakfast as John.
Another great video. The amount of trail erosion in the area is mental. 😮
Yeah man, insane! Makes for a more interesting though cautious descent.
Great video❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!

Can you help identify your friend's rear fender at the 4:25 mark? I've been looking for that design everywhere.

I used to be the same, there's a ton of stuff over there waiting to be explored. From Tynemouth Pool the loop is around 36 miles.

the front of the jacket is dirty from the bikes in front that have the ass saver, good for solo riding but not groups
