I used to play multiplayer , a lot , back when it was new. Gradually moving over to other games. I still start up my old laptop and play a few single missions or quickfights , now and then , and I still enjoy it very much. One of the best FPS games ever.
HOly shit. This still online?| This is my first multiplayer game ever. Set up a huge clan "Suck My Gun" or SMG clan. There I was... a damn 15 year old with 43 people in his clan. Our own website, everything.... man. Life was great.
This game belongs to my golden year... Played it daily for many years, until it broke. Still got the cd, but they don't work anymore. Found no replacement to this game, and we are in 2016.
Are there still people playing this? This brings back some pretty good memories. I was in the [KS] clan back in the day, many many clan wars climbing up the Nato and Viel ladders with {JaW}, {rFF} and -eViL-. Good times.

All the worries and school obligations didn't matter much, VC was like another world for me :) Not to be cocky, but I believe I was one of the best players that time, playing this game constantly for about 9 years. People accused me for cheating, however I was not, so I needed to change my nickname from time to time. And today, I am just an old fart. :)

I loved this game. Realistic af ! I don't know... the guns felt "right", the traps, the sounds were amazing... The balance, the real balance. The fact that if you used an enemy weapons, you could make opponents think that the guy shooting there is intl their team ! And in an opposite way, get a nade from your team. And damn. The Winchester 70 for fuck sake ! The SVD ! Far better experience than all FPS I've played since...

I had just gotten my first PC and downloaded the demo in late-2002. Was shocked how good the graphics were compared to consoles. Then played the full game for two or three years. One time I stayed up for 25 hours straight playing VC during the demo days. I remember when someone asked me to join a clan, I thought it was an underground racist KKK clan. Eventually I realized what a clan was.

With a score discrepancy like that it's no wonder there's a dirge of folk playing these days. I'd play it again myself if I was able. For the past few years I haven't been able to get the damn thing running, and I'm sure the new Red Orchestra is draining a lot of the old school player base atm.

yes, there's usualy atleast 20 servers up and running with up to 16 players on each. friday and weekend evenings are the fullest

What first time after so many years i see knife on m16 how did you do it?
you have to manually assign a key to "bayonet" in settings - i usually use key Y. only a few have the option for it. AK47, M16 and some others. tc
