Ok the thing about the ballooners are, once they grab a unit, that unit can not use their regular attacks for as long as the ballooner is on them, if the units have a special ability, they can use that, no problem, but someone like King can lose against a single ballooner. Also, the little hop they do, may seem insignificant, but it gives them I frames for the whole hop, so that allows them to bypass high damage attacks from someone like king. Yeha, so it's advised to have a beefy unit to draw all their attention and have some AOE, like catapult coming in late to finish all of them off.
